We are making our first trip as a family of four in Jan. for DD princess: 1st bday. Went with 21/2 yo DS :charac4: in 10/2003 and had a great time. Want to make this a magical trip for now 31/2yo DS and all of us even though DD won't remember. Any suggestions? WDW Contemporary for 3 nights, main focus is MK. Thanks in advance.

I'll be looking forward to the responses you get, MAGICX2 - we're also going in January for our DS's first birthday!

So far we have a late breakfast planned at Chef Mickey's on his birthday and we're also thinking about a small family party in our room since DH, DS, and I will be in a 1 bedroom at Boardwalk and we can make a basic dinner and we'll probably order a cake or pick one up at our typical stop at the Target Greatland. My parents will be traveling with us and my grandfather lives in Naples and plans to come up to see Theo for his birthday, so I think it would work well for us to do something in our villa.

I was thinking about a "birthday boy" long-sleeved tee or something for him to wear during the day...I'm not sure, though.

I hope to see some great ideas!

Happy birthday to your DD!!!

We are also going in January for dd's 1'st B-day! January 5!

We will be there for 11 days.

On her birthday we will to MK and a dinner or lunch (can't remember which) at Crystal Palace with Pooh Bear Characters.

It will also be my dh's B-day (the 10th) while we are there.

I think I might get a banner from the dollar store to put in our hotel room window. Maybe decorate the stroller for that day and of course get the Birthday badge.

Wow, us too. My DS will be 1 on 13th Jan. We are having lunch at Crystal Palace with a cake and a few decorations (I asked about this) and it happens to be a Spectro day at MK so this is a bonus. We will get a birthday button and a big balloon for the stroller.
Any other ideas would be great,
Claire

DD's birthday is the 16th. We will only be there for three days and we are staying at the Contemporary. Never even crossed my mind to get a bday tshirt or button. I am so glad I posted this question.
I am also glad to know that I am not the only crazy one who wants my DD to have her first birthday at DISNEY!! We will be having a princess breakfeast at EPCOT. Maybe a lunch at the Crystal Palace.
I am so psyched for this even though she will never remember a thing!!

We did our DD's 2nd birthday at DLR and we made sure to go to city hall on main st. to get the birthday badge. Lots of CMs came up and wished her a happy birthday, and some even gave her stickers! Too cute :)

I don't know if MK does it, but DL had these cute birthday buckets for about $20 that had a little cake and some Princess goodies inside.

Oh yeah, and if you tell the CMs at the podium of wherever you're eating (sit-down restaurants only if I remember correctly) that there's a birthday in your group, they'll decorate a spot at the table and sing, and sometimes give a nice dessert!

just don't forget bubbles. Babies love bubbles!
