If I understand this correctly, typically the Magic docks at Havensight, right? which means that you do not tender? If that is the case, what is the earliest we can get off the ship?

If, however, we have to tender in, what is the earliest tender and when is th last tender?

Doe snybody know in August what the Magic does, Havensight or in the harbor?

I am trying to plan a non-disney excursion and am trying to figure out if we have enough time.

In August, the ship will most likely tie up at the WICO (Havensight) pier. In the summer there are more ships elsewhere, such as the Med or Alaska, and fewer in the Caribbean, so it's less likely that the ship will have to anchor and tender. There's no way to tell for certain until the schedule for August is published, usually this happens the last week of July. Check out the Ships.vi site for the schedule.

Since everyone must pass through Immigration before the ship is cleared, it's usually after 8:00 before they start letting people off the ship. It will vary depending on how quickly the immigration check takes, but I wouldn't count on being off the ship before 8:30, just to be safe.

The ship leaves at 4:45pm, and I believe the last tender will be at 4:30pm. If it's at the pier, they'll let people on right up until they cast off, but don't be late, because the ship will leave without you.

Tough question!

We were on the 3/6 Magic and we tendered in. I think we were on the first tender boat (maybe the second) and we were on land around 9:00. When you get off may depend on how smoothly the immigration process goes. On our trip, the immigration officials were late arriving on board and that threw the timing off for everyone.

If it helps at all, those who have booked excursions (Disney or not) are the first into immigration and the first on the tender boats.

Port schedules may not be available until the month before or the month of your cruise. As far as I know, you would not be able to make that determination at this time. Maybe someone at DCL can help you with that. There has been a link posted in the past to a website which shows the schedules (for the current and next month). Maybe someone will post that for you. Try www.usvinow.com - that rings a bell for me.

Good luck. I am sorry I could not give you the answer you need. I probably just made it more difficult for you.

We sailed in August last year and docked at Havensight and if memory serves me right, we were all clear to get off by 8am ..... we've never tendered so I can't help you there ..... Andy

We are on the alternate itinerary that stops at St. Thomas and then San Juan..so am I safe in assuming that there will be no early morning Immigration, since we weren't at a non-US port?

Thanks for your help...

Ok, so no early morning immigration, any thoughts on what time we will be allowed off the boat??

Hi Denise! We've docked at Havensight and have tendered on past cruises and the latest we've been on land was 9am. Looking forward to not having to wake up early for immigration on the August cruise! What excursion are you looking at?

Sarah,

I am looking at doing a full day sail/snorkel with Jester Sailing. It is about a 6 hour day so I want to make sure that I have enough time to get there and back. My DH wants some shopping time, too...UGH! He is the shopper in our family.

Can't come soon enough for me..the winter in PA has gone on WAY TOO LONG!!!

Denise
