Do we need to secure both a Florida wedding licenses and a license for the Bahamas?
DCL planing kit sent a form for the Bahamas...but no additional information or cost

We have already sourced the Florida details with Brevard County ( thanks to the boards!)

Trying to find out more information, what to do, and cost for Bahamas portion.

Groom us citizen ( but Australia permanent resident)
Bride Australia citizen.

We are getting married on castaway cay on Disney fantasy

Any help is certainly appreciated!

You do not need a license for the Bahamas. You will be married by a notary public using your Florida license either in the terminal or onboard the ship before it departs Florida. The ceremony on Castaway Cay is not your legal ceremony. :thumbsup2

If you are having a CC wedding you now have to fill out a Bahamian license too. DCL "rents" a Bahamian officiant to perform the ceremony there. There is no charge for the Bahamian license - you just fill it in and send it back to DFTW.

If your getting married on castaway cay then yes you do need a Bahamas License but the cost is already included in the price. You also need a Florida License and a small legal ceremony will take place before you even pull out of port on Embarkation Day. The Castaway Cay weddings are not just for show they are legal too but only in the Bahamas. At the end you will have both certificates. If you are getting married on board the ship then you do not need the Bahamas license.
