DCL website now showing all staterooms in type/location when booking (ETA: might be only upto 16 rooms; both sides of ship)

A long-standing frustration when booking online via the DCL website has been that they would only show availability for a maximum of 8 staterooms at a time, starting with the port side, lowest # staterooms first within a type/location.

THIS HAS CHANGED !!!

I just went online to check how much prices had risen for Summer 2022 Alaska cruises and discovered that they are now showing what appears to be all of the availability for a specific stateroom type in a location. I tested a few other random cruises to verify and it appears it is across the fleet.

As an example, the below is the availability from a random sailing of the Fantasy in Sept 2022, for Deluxe Family Oceanview staterooms with Verandah on Deck 10 midship:



Lots more than 8 staterooms.

Both sides of the ship.

This is exciting and excellent news !! ***FINALLY***

6 of our 8 cruises have been on deck 9 forward on the Dream or the Fantasy, in a deluxe family oceanview stateroom. We love the location and will sail there again.

Really...I’m having such a time with motion sickness lately that’s why I was second guessing the room location.

I hope you are right, but it might be a glitch as they get the website ready for U.K. cruises. I tried going into a cruise in Oct that we just moved and it is not set up properly. Concierge is listed after inside, and when you select concierge it just gives a blank page. Then I went to July and staterooms are in normal order , but you select a category and just a blank page shows up. Will try again tomorrow.

I just checked for my September 2022 Norwegian Fjords and when I clicked through it worked. I can now see all the available rooms in the area where my room is. I have an inside room and when I checked, the rooms either side of me and behind me and across the corridor are all available. It never showed that many available rooms any time I checked before.

It doesn’t look like they are showing all rooms available just that they raised the number of staterooms they show you now. Looking at my sailing the most staterooms shown was 16 when I looked thru all the decks and room types. So instead of showing you 8 options only on one side you now get 16 with them shown on both sides to pick from.
