I'm so upset:( I just found out the difference in price for DCL transfers and renting a van for 7 people. I never even considered doing anything but the transfers offered with my particular package until I visited the boards. I will know for future reference but now I'm stuck for my June 15th Wonder cruise. Anyway I can scalp my transfers at MCO and reserve a van? Is this illegal to say since I wouldn't charge more than what I paid. I could charge less and still make out better plus not have to wait until a whole bus fills up. Has anyone ever gotten to MCO and purchased transfers that day (so I know my chances of getting someone to buy my seven transfers that day)?

You know what? I wouldn't worry about it! Lots of people take Disney transfers & like them! It's very easy, no luggage worries, big windows, a movie. :) From what I've read here, it really gets you in the mood for your trip. Way more than a boring van. :teeth:

Live & learn. You'll be stressed if you try to sell your transfers. I haven't a clue if it would work, but why even think about it?? Relax & enjoy your trip!!

I had original booked the DC transfer than after reading this board decided to cancel it. I called my Travel Agent and he took it off no problem. This was before we had made the final payment so I don't know if that would make a difference.

We have taken the DCL bus for our past two cruises and love it. When we check our bagage at airport and don't have to hassle with it again. We love the bus and movies that are shown going and on the way back to ariport after cruise. We will do it again July 5. We feel like our vacation starts as soon as our bags are checked. It may be more, but you get more.

On the one hand it might work, on the other it might not. When we took the DCL bus last week, we had to go "check in" prior to boarding the bus. It amounted to signing the DCL Transport vouchers in your ticket book and then handing them over. On the return trip from the Port, essentially anyone could board the buses - there was no check whatsoever.

I agree w/all above. We did the transfers the first cruise (when we flew down) & it was great! Everything is taken care of for you - you don't even have to think - just follow what they say. And, you have a comfortable, stress-free, air-conditioned, enjoyable ride with a terrific video about the cruise that will get you all pumped up again for arriving at the port. Your luggage will be taken care of. You don't have to try to 'find' your way to the port or fight the traffic, parking, etc. Enjoy it.
Last cruise - & the one coming up - we drove &, although it was not really that stressful - it SURE WAS much less of a hassle taking the bus. That's why we go 'Disney'. They take care of everything & do it WONDERfully!! Don't kick yourself for $ you could have saved. ENJOY!!!!:bounce:

Just cancel your transfers. It shouldn't be a problem. I used the DCL transfers on my first cruise and hated having to wait on the bus while they tried to fill it up before leaving the airport. On my second cruise, I heard about using a van service and called to cancel our transfers. The van service, Happy Limo, was great and it saved the 10 of us a couple of hundred dollars ($23.50 each compared to $59 each). We had stayed in an airport area hotel the night before and the van picked us up at the hotel so we didn't have to schlepp back to the airport to catch the DCL shuttle. On my last cruise, there were 5 of us, so we splurged and got a stretch limo. It still cost less than the DCL transfers, they were waiting for us at the baggage claim area in the airport and were waiting for us when we got back to port a week later. The DCL transfers are great if you're staying at the resorts before or after because they handle your baggage for you, but if you are flying in and out before and after the cruise, you handle your own luggage. The good thing to know is that you can book the DCL transfers at the airport the day of the cruise so that if your alternate transportation plans don't pan out, you have a backup. Good Luck.
