We are looking at a *GT rate on the Nov. 24 NYC-San Juan cruise. What airport would you have to fly into in NYC if you want to do DCL transfers? Or do they transfer from both LaGuardia and Kennedy?

They definitely offer transfers to both JFK and LGA. I don't remember if they offered EWR as well.

If they offer them from both, I'd definitely say JFK. LGA is my ultimate last resort - it is a hot mess of a construction zone right now.

Of course...I'd also fly the day before so which airport they use would be a non-issue. But if I HAD to, it would be JFK.

They don't provide transfers from EWR. Personally I'd Uber and fly into EWR.

No transfers from Newark. However getting to the port from Newark was very easy. We took the air train to Penn station and then a cab to the terminal. We found both prices and scheduling much better into Newark then to JFK or LaGuardia.

Just to clarify... You take AirTrain to the Newark Airport Station and then take NJ Transit into Penn Station. AirTrain doesn't go all the way in. It is easy, but there is a change from AirTrain to an NJ Transit train.

Good information thank you! Never cruised out of NYC before, so it would be a new experience for us!

Also, if you go the Newark route and do AirTrain to NJ Transit, be aware that you will stop at NEWARK Penn Station, then Secaucus Junction, and then NEW YORK Penn Station. I've seen more than one person start to get off at Newark Penn Station after getting on at Newark Airport Rail and asked them if they were going to New YORK or NEWARK. The announcements are not always clear for people not used to the accents.
