DCL stateroom of choice?

We have cruised DCL without using DVC points and have been able to select our stateroom. When I use my DVC points for my cruise, will I also be able to choose my stateroom or will that be an arbitrary decision made on category and availability?

I'm getting a bit possessive about my stateroom!!!

I used my DVC points both times I cruised and I was able to choose my stateroom each time.

When we made our reservations for May they listed the cat 6 cabins that were available and we were able to choose which one we wanted. If you have a specific one in mind tell them right away because they call DCL to find out availability.
