DCL shuttle from port to MCO question

The DCL website says that the shuttle departure time from port is automatically determined based upon your flight departure time. Can anyone tell me about how early I can expect to get to airport before my flight?

It's a bit deceiving. The airport shuttles just leave as they fill up. You'll leave the ship when your bag tag group is called and get on the next available bus.

My flight is at 12:10 and was hoping to get to airport at least 90 minutes early to get checked in and security! Sounds like I’ll be fine

You would be best to do express walk off. You carry your own bags, exit the ship when allowed (about 7:30) and take one of the first buses to the airport. I did an 11:17 flight no problem

That should not be a problem. We were on a port to resort bus. These depart from the port at 9. We had a leisurely breakfast (we had main dining), all of the colored bag tags were available in the terminal when we finished breakfast. The express walk-off line had already cleared, so we debarked, picked up luggage, cleared customs and immigration, and were on the bus by 8:25. The last two passengers finally arrived at our resort bus right at 9, and we departed immediately. With two resort drop offs before we arrived at our resort, we were there by 10:20.

If we had been heading to MCO instead, the bus would have left as soon as it was full, likely by 8:45 am at the latest, and I think we would have been at the airport sometime between 9:30 and 10:00.

Just have to throw this in there . . . arrived at MCO at 10 (lots of traffic at the Port) and barely made my 12:30 flight on Southwest. There ARE times in the summer, when a lot of ships are docking (like on Saturdays) when MCO is just overrun with people. Took me 35 minutes to check a bag with Southwest. People were literally dumping any liquids (shampoo, etc) in the garbage to NOT have to wait in the line. Then of course, there's Security (helps to have Clear or Pre-Check). I know 90 minutes seems like more than enough time. And I don't know what month your cruise is in. This was actually a Saturday in early December, as i recall. It's a really busy airport. One of my favorites for the pre-security shopping and food court and multiple Starbucks BUT it can also be really really busy.
