We are going on a cruise in a few weeks on the Disney Magic :cool1: I was thinking about buying a 2010 DCL scrapbook on board. Has anyone purchased one before? About how many traditional scrapbook pages will it hold?? I know my Disney Album ended up being almost 60 pages so I am guessing that the cruise album will be pretty close to the same size. But for my Disney album I used an extra large strap bound album, not a WDW one? So I am concerned that the DCL scrapbook might not be big enough. I could always convert it to a strap bound album if it is a post bound album. Any ideas or input?? Thanks!!

We just got back in November and the 2009 one was post bound and held 10 top load page protectors for a total of 20 pages. I really did not like it much, but I did get the paper they had in a spiral type notebook. It is perforated so you just pull out the page you want. However, there is only one page of each design in there. So if you wanted to use it for background paper, you would need to buy two of them.

have fun and enjoy your cruise.

They had a couple different style albums. The red and blue one I bought had a very stiff binding that did not expand at all. It would probably hold 15 page protectors. Mine was twice that thick, so I'm going to create my own spine for it when I figure it out. The girls here had lots of suggestions, it's just a case of execution.

In the past, I've run to two albums, one cruise, one plain.

We are cruising in Dec id like to get 2010 album but they will all be gone by then can i buy one any where,

I passed on the albums. I didn't think they would hold enough pages and I didn't want to invest in more than one. I just bought plain albums for my pages. Besides, I made zillions of pages and there was no way they were going to fit in one album...lol.
They were really cute, just not functional for me.
I agree with the spiral bound set of papers too. I wish I had bought more than one. And the kit that I was disappointing. Not much to work with unless you wanted the same thing on every page...over and over.....

Hi Wendy
What an absolutely GORGEOUS!! album!! You are sooooooooooo talented!
You can see the love and time you put into this and your children will have this as a keepsake.
Are you an art teacher?
Ive recognized some things you have that I also have but where do you buy your supplies?
And I hope you dont mind but I will be scraplifting!
You made me want to go on my cruise, NOW!!
Rita

I'm glad I found this thread. I didn't have time to take a look at the scrapbook when I was on-board last week, and then regretted it when I got home. I was going to try to order it somehow, but if it's not readily expandable I'm going to have to stop by the craft store and pick up a plain strap-bound album. We have a lot of little 3-D things to include in the scrapbook, so being able to make it fat is a must!

I love your pages from your 09 cruise. I have lots of the same papers....the DCL cruise ones, the Disney ones and some of the beachy ones. Would you mind if I scraplifted some of your pages? That is of course if I ever get around to actually scrapping my cruise or anything else for that matter.:lmao:

We were on the Magic in January. They had about 4 different albums. I bought two of the same to hold all my photos/ephemera. The 2010 was strange colors. Brown/light blue/lime green. I didn't like it at all. They also had a red/white/blue one with DCL, a brown leather looking one and the one I bought. It's aqua, shiny and has all the characters on the outside, no year on the cover. I haven't had a problem adding pages to it. But there is a limit to size and still have the album lie flat. The spine cover isn't really expandable, it is about 1/2". With the covers the scrapbook itself could be about 1 1/4 " - 1 1/2" thick.
