Does anyone know if there is a set pattern (as in time or ship capacity) that dictates when DCL raises rates on a cruise? I ran some numbers on their web site last weekend for the 1/14 Magic and yesterday same deal (same stateroom #'s even) was up $455 (for the two, single occupant Cat 11's).
And is there a specific time when they may lower rates right before the cruise (one week out, two weeks out)?
Our travel situation is way up in the air.....and will be for several months. I'm just hoping that this particular cruise is the one we could end up on (don't want to wait any longer than that
) and I'm thinking we need to consider just going ahead and book this now and seeing where we stand at the end of October, when final payment is due.
Whaddayathink?

Your best bet for a great price is to use early booking savings - book when rates first come out, usually around late September. We booked our 2006 cruise in Sept, 2004. It's amazing to see how high rates are now for the same cruise.
