Heres a photo i found on the internet.

Gossipgirl, I can't see your photo, only a red X. Have you successfully posted photos before? If not, maybe we can talk you through the procedure. I'd love to be able to see your photos.

Can you give me the procedure.

Here are the steps to post a picture on the Disboards. (This applies to any thread on the Disboards website, not just the DCL Picture of the Day.) Let me know if you don't understand something in the steps. :santa:

If it is a picture already on the internet:
  • Right click the picture
  • Click "Properties"
  • Highlight and copy the image URL address
  • Go to post a reply on this thread, just like you would normally do to write a regular post
  • Click the icon of the mountain w/the yellow background
  • Page the image URL address

If it is one of your own personal pictures that is not yet on the internet, but may be on your camera:
  • Upload the image to your computer, whether this means importing from your digital camera or scanning a photo. Save the image to your computer.
  • Sign up at Photo Bucket or a similar image sharing website.
  • Upload the image onto the image sharing site you signed up on
  • Copy the image URL address
  • Come to this thread and begin to post a reply like you normally would to write a regular post
  • Click the icon of the mountain w/the yellow background
  • Paste the image URL address

Do that and you should be all set :thumbsup2
Looking forward to seeing your pics :)

Thanks to anyone who's commented on my pictures lately - I've been busy and I'm trying to get caught up...

Here's mine for today:

FIRST KID IN THE POOL!! (Nevermind that NO JUMPING sign... nonsense.)

Unfortunately, you couldn't see the pool on the last day at sea. :sad2:

Soon we will see the Wonder.

:)

Great pic - have a great trip! (That's Ticker's pretty low!)

gossipgirl: I see there's a red x again . . . let me know which part of the steps you seem to be having trouble with and I'll see if I can help you through it.

i can't find the url in my pictures.

Okey dokey . . . when you right click on the picture, there should be an option that says "Properties". Click on this. Next, a box should come up on your screen. Somewhere on the box it should say "Address (URL)" followed by a long address. Highlight the address and right click it and choose "copy". Next come here and start posting like you would on a regular post and click on the icon of the mountain (you'll find this icon just above the box where you write regular posts). Right click the choose "paste". And you should be all set :thumbsup2

hmm...still isn't working. this might be a little easier. save the picture you found on the internet. right-click the picture and select "save target as" or "save image as" and save it somewhere on your computer. then make an account on Photobucket. upload that picture, and then when you look at the pictures you've uploaded, there are several links below them. you want the one that says IMG code click on the url and it should copy it automatically, or you can highlight the whole thing and right-click and select "copy". this will take the url of the image and it'll have the IMG brackets (
) already in the url, so all you have to do is go to a thread and paste what you copied, and it should work.

Sorry if that's a little confusing, let me know if you need clarification on something (I could post some pictures showing you what to do as well). That might be a little easier though, and better for sites who you might be copying pictures from (most prefer you to actually save the picture instead of linking it...saves bandwidth).

hope this helps!

click on the url for the IMG (I believe it'll say it's for message boards and the like) and it should copy it automatically, or you can highlight the whole thing and right-click and select "copy". this will take the url of the image and it'll have the IMG brackets that I wrote above already in the url, so all you have to do is go to a thread and paste what you copied, and it should work.

i just won't post pictures here.

It's really not that difficult once you figure it out. you'll probably want to post pictures that you've taken from your cruise too, so it's a nice thing to learn.

I did change my previous post to make it a little clearer as well.
