I'm just making a guess but I believe this is the picture that "What ship is that" question refers to?

Sorry...but I have no idea. I found it online one day, and I was impressed by how many folks work aboard. It looks like an old photo, so I'm guessing, it was when it all started...

On the Transatlantic cruise one of the Art of Entertaining series was about cake and plate decorating. We had Jorge (?) the head pastry chef do the demonstration. This was one of the pre-made decorations that he brought.

Can you tell us more?
Flowers of frosting or tinted creamed cheese?
In a bowl made of fruit leather? or plastic?
on a plate decorated with strawberry puree and chocolate swirls?
or on top of a cheesecake with a strawberry puree top and chocolate swirls?

Since I am getting hungry looking at this, I want to know all of what I am drooling over.

Well, I believe it is frosting. The bowl looked like candy molded. It was not a plate but a cake that had a raspberry puree and he piped on the chocolate.

Actually he had a problem when he put on the puree, his assistant did not do a good job of making it level so it came down the side a bit:

This was also a cake, that his assistant did not give him enough decorations for a whole cake, so he punted and put 2 kinds on :rotfl:

But this was the best mess up of all! LOL:rotfl2: He was using a small tipped bottle to put down the yellowish colored puree (I forget what it was) When he turned over the bottle the lid came off!!!! So he got a bit more than he wanted. But ended up making a great looking plate! And on top of the plate was an amazing dessert from the night before. It had raspberry and cream:cloud9:

Cool pic. Do you know the name of the other ship? Definitely a Celebrity Cruise Lines vessel.

I know the name----it's "The other ship". What else do you need to know?

Oh....i thought that other ship was named "the Ugly ship":rotfl2: oh that wasn't nice was it???? but it's true....next to our Magic....that's exactly what they are....

I honestly paid no attention to the name...I did note that it was a Celebrity Cruise ship. I also noticed that it wasn't nearly as nice as the Magic. Cracking paint, rust spots, etc...I really wasn't impressed.
