DCL online airline info question

Anyone else have this problem?? EVERY time I fill out my airline info in the online check-in section of cruise plans, it will NOT 'save.' I always end up calling the help desk & having them input all the details, when I have already done so....maybe several times & several ways!!!

It's not that big of a deal to call them, it's just that there is no place to put 'n/a' on the legs you don't have - we never have FOUR legs to get there & it always gives me an error code for the legs not filled in...ahhh! Don't know why, but this drives me crazy! :scared1:

has anyone had success in filling this out online? If so, what is your secret?!

Thanks!!!

Happened to me too on my last cruise. I don't know what the issue is/was. The CM was most gracious about entering it over the phone.

You are not alone!!

Another poster said the same thing last week, I posted this problem almost 2 weeks ago, so it seems it's a big bug in their system..I do know some have done it with no problem...here is where I ran into a problem...

Our return flight leaves LAX at 11:35 PM on the 20th, but arrives in Cincinnati at 6:36AM on the TWENTY FIRST!! I did not catch that detail and kept receiving errors...Disney offered to fix it for me and said they'd enter everything in for me...they did, I went back into the system, now the departure did have the correct date (even they didn't catch that) and our two legs were entered on the arrival...the error I NOW kept getting was that it wanted me to complete ALL legs of travel...because it has up to 4 connecting flight blanks..well I only have two legs...so it seems to me the system wants me to finish putting in all 4 before it will let me save it...

the good news is that Disney says they don't need it...you don't need to complete that information in order to sign your contract...if it really bothers you call service and tell them your information, they can enter it in, and it won't be able to save it on your end but the information will be entered....

The ridiculous part is that after spending 7 days trying to work this out, Delta informed me that our flight numbers AND times have changed! Ugh! We had all 8 seats assigned to each other on rows 31 and 32...now the plane they moved us to only has 24 rows!! Wonder if they've overbooked! :)

Good luck!
Tara

Thanks for the replies...I don't feel quite as bad now...lol

The last time it happened, the CM told me to make sure the last leg went in the last section...so I tried it with two blank in the middle, two at the bottom, and then 3 of them with the first leg.. :lmao:

But since we don't really need it for the contract, I think I won't stress about it anymore.....unless I need it for transfers!!!

Yes, I got around the "bugs" in the system, but just NOT entering the flight information. You don't need to input it, to finish your online documentation.

Have fun on your cruise!

I had the same problem last week and was assuming it was because I use a mac - there have been other issues in the past that were mac-related too. I gave up and was irritated that I wasted the time to enter all those details and will not spend any time to call either. It obviously isn't that important or it would have been fixed long before now. There really isn't any reason that Disney needs to know your flight plans unless they arranged them.

I thought maybe it was a Mac issue too....so I tried it on the PC - still not working!! :sad2:

the thing is, we have DCL transfers after the cruise & they insist they need our flight time. I'll just handle it on board from now on...it really is time consuming & glad to know I'm not the only one irritated by the process.

No, you don't need it to complete your on line check in...but when I didn't put it in, they called me and said that they needed my flight info! GROAN Sometimes we just can't win.

My sisters ran into this issue today when they were trying to enter their flight info and since they are connected to my reservation, I went in to investigate and ran into the same problem. They have a 2 leg incoming flight and when I only entered the last leg, in the first spot, then it could be saved.

I know that when I entered our family's info all was good, but we have a direct flight. Same thing with the other family in our party as she filled out her info, while in our home, just the other night and all was good - but again, they have the same direct flight as us.

It does seem odd, though, that this problem is coming up for enough people and that it hasn't been resolved.
