DCL Navigator app causes phantom alarm (Android)

If you guys with Droids report it in the Playstore I'm sure they'll fix the bug on the next update.

I have an older version of the app so it's not happening to me but, yes, that would really bug me, too.

I THOUGHT I had an older version of the app, but it must have auto-updated recently.

@Anchors Away 2016 My version says it is not the most recent, looks like the most recent update was made available March 7, 2017. I'm not going to update it til maybe we sail.

Yep. I just confirmed, my DCL app is up-to-date. Must have done it automatically. Good that you didn't fall for that. Let my fate be a warning to all.

OP, I am so glad you posted this! I spent some time trying to figure out why that stupid alarm clock was on my notification bar! I had just reinstalled the app, so put it down to that. Glad it was confirmed. Hope they fix that bug.

I "Force Stopped" my DCL app and the alarm icon went away. When they come out with a fix, I'll start my countdown again. I still have over 400 days anyway.

Can someone screenshot the phantom alarm? I still have never seen it to my knowledge - and I have an iPhone 7 and everything is up to date.

I think they're saying it's just an issue with Droids and the most recent update to the app. They're speaking of an alarm icon at the top of the screen; the notification bar (where all the icons appear on a Droid like unread text message, reminders for apps, signal strength, battery use, etc.)

Droids just have a different OS than iPhones. Samsung Galaxy, Notes, HTCs, Alcatel, Motorola, etc , are all Droids.

Thank you! I've been wondering why I had the alarm icon in the top bar. At first I worried I accidentally set an alarm in something that was going to go off at the worst possible time. Now that I know what it is, I can smile and think about our upcoming vacation whenever I see it (as opposed to some impending doom).

Hmm. The phantom alarm was what was fixed on my version. I updated the app and as soon as I launched the new version I saw the alarm icon in the notification bar disappear. Did you open the app after update?

My updated Disney Cruise app version is 1.6.2.

Also check if you have a real alarm set in the clock or another app.

Mine was 1.6.1 when I checked. It updated to 1.6.2 in the overnight and the alarm vanished. Whew! Now I can (over)sleep at night!
