DCL Navigator app causes phantom alarm (Android)

If you're talking about the "alarm" on the notification bar, I have that there, with the app installed however there's no "alarm" that goes off or one that have any kind of audible notification. I don't find it a problem, I just ignore it, since I know if I set any alarms, until then I'll just not pay attention to the notification, I want to the app installed as I have a cruise upcoming and need it for onboard.

Yep, it's definitely a livable nuisance since the alarm never actually goes off. For me it also showed up in the clock widget (in place of the date) as an upcoming alarm for some time usually about 10-15 minutes in the future. My cruise is not until November, so I'm glad to wait until then to reinstall.

Oh Thank You! It has been driving me nuts trying to get rid of that stupid little clock on my notification bar. Uninstalled the app and it instantly disappeared. :flower1:

I have and android. I have the app. Did not have that problem yet. Maybe it's becaise I did not update it recently?

If you have an Android phone and you've noticed a persistent alarm notification that you did not create, it is caused by the DCL Navigator App. A recent update of the app has introduced this bug. I uninstalled the app, and the issue went away. They are supposedly working on a fix.
Thank You! I was wondering what caused the alarm icon to squat on my notification bar.

I have been trying to figure out for a week what was causing that phantom alarm! Going to try deleting the app!

OMG!! Sending a giant hug to you meldobbs!!! That phantom alarm has been driving me bonkers! I'm so happy it's gone!!! :cool1:

Thank you! My phone has been having an increasing number of issues and I thought that was one of them. Apparently not!

I never would of thought of that being the reason. Any hoo, it's not harming anything. There's no actual alarm, just the icon all of the sudden showing up at the top of the phone.

I had no idea. I almost wish I had this bug, because all of the alarms that go off on my phone (annoyingly, I might add) are the ones I did set and I need to acknowledge.o_O

It's only the latest update or so that's caused it (I had the issue last week after the update auto-installed).

I found that the app can be reinstalled, just make sure not to set the countdown timer as the bug seems to be tied to that.

EDIT: Disregard that. I thought it was the countdown function, but the moment I just opened the app (first time since reinstall) the darn alarm appeared again!!!

Problems I didn't know I had! So it isn't like an alarm beeping? It is the alarm clock icon up on the notifications bar? I did notice that a few days ago and briefly tried to get it to go away. Not a huge deal, but if uninstalling the DCL app and reinstalling it without opening it will fix it, I'll do it. I'm sure they will fix it in the next update.

If you guys with Droids report it in the Playstore I'm sure they'll fix the bug on the next update.

Or email the developers at app.support@disneycruise.com

I have an older version of the app so it's not happening to me but, yes, that would really bug me, too.
