DCL merchandise from online store exchange

I bought a shirt from the Disney online store. It turns out it is too small. I can mail it back to exchange it, but it costs $10.64! to ship it. The local Disney stores say that they won't take it as a return, because they don't carry it. The weird question: Can I exchange it on the ship?

I would imagine you'd have to have a receipt from the ship for the purchase to do so, but I could be wrong. Is it a shirt that's on the ship? Not all merchandise available online is onboard.
 
I bought it online. But, the reason the stores on land won't allow me to return it is that they don't carry DCL merchandise. I've never been on the ship, but one of the comments of the shirt online says that they saw it on the Disney Wonder and regretted not buying it. grumpy.png
 
Did you purchase from DisneyStore.com or the Shop Disney Parks app?

Is there a pre-paid label that is $10 to mail, deducted from your refund? Or you tried to weigh it and mail it yourself and that's the price you were quoted?

I just had this scenario happen to me. I didn't ask, but the very nice manager at the store gave me a prepaid label to return it since she couldn't take it back in the store. Maybe call and ask if they would do that for you?

Update: I went to the Disney Store, and the clerk was pretty annoyed that she couldn't help me so she told me to call customer service. I explained the situation and they sent me the larger size at no charge! Thanks so much! :jumping1:
