I had our TA add a pre-night at the Fairmont Vancouver Airport and add DCL transfers.

I think that is the one right in the Airport - like the Hyatt is at MCO. Not as impressive though as far as architecture. Saw the entrance when we were going to DL in July. It's by the Alaskan Airlines check in counters.

Goood Morning

Well we head to the the Jet Port Thursday morning catch a Jet Blue Flight and we will be on our way. Staying one night at OKW a night at the Raddison at Coco Beach and boarding the Magic Saturday morning.
Its a little frosty here in Brunswick this morning.

All this talk about booking hotels/flights etc. Reminded me that I took a few photos when we were over in Vancouver earlier this year.

This is Canada Place cruise terminal

This is the front of the Cruise Terminal

I took the first photo (the cruise terminal) to the right of this photo. It shows you how close everything is. To the right upper corner is the Cruise Terminal/Pan Pacific Hotel Entrance. To the left upper corner is the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel Entrance. To the lower left corner (not shown) is the exit from Waterfront Station - the ligth rapid transit that runs from the Airport to Downtown.

Great pics. Thanks for posting. Really puts things in perspective. Can't wait now!

It looks so much bigger on a map. I will be very easy to walk around. Thanks for posting the pics.

We will be at the Jet Port and a JetBlue Flight not to far behind you on Saturday for a stay at AK KV. We will be at EPCOT in the morning till Noon on 23 October.

Hi all,

We booked our flights today!!! Arriving Saturday the 20th and leaving Wednesday the 31st. We haven't made any hotel reservations yet. We are leaving in 2 days for WDW and the Magic. So will do the hotels when we get back!!!!

I wouldn't recommend it - do later if possible. It's approximately a 30+ minute drive in good traffic to the airport. We will be dealing with commuter traffic as it's a weekday.

You have to check in, go thru security and if you are flying directly to the USA - go thru customs. It can be quite backed up. I think it took us at least an hour+ when I did it in July and that was with minimal wait at the customs area. I have missed a flight before - with the custom delay.

Thanks for your help! I narrowed my flights to a noon one or a 1pm one - there are not that many options to fly back that time of the day. Decisions decisions decisions!

OUr flight leave at 2PM, we're flying Air Canada into Newark if that helps!

Hi everyone,

We may be switching over to this cruise from our Aug 30th cruise and I just wanted to say hi. It would be Me, DH, and children ages: DD age13, DS age 8, DD age 7, DS age 4, DS age 1.

We would be driving from Wisconsin in our camper. I will let you know if we make the switch over this weekend.

We can't wait to see Alaska on the Wonder!

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to let you know that we made it official and that we will be joining you all on this cruise:thumbsup2

It will be me Vicki, Dh Marty, DD Adriane 13, DS Zach 8, DD Stephanie 7 DS Isaac 4 and DS Vincent 1. Our niece Tiffany 12, may also be joining us too. We are from SW Wisconsin (I know I mentioned this before :))and are in connecting rooms 2143 and 2145.

This will be our 9th DCL cruise. We are really looking forward to seeing Alaska. We actually are doing a Western cruise in 2 weeks and can't wait!

Does anyone want to do fish extenders for this cruise. My kids, as well as us adults ;) really enjoy playing this while cruising. It is a lot of fun!

We are looking forward to getting to know everyone on this cruise. I was just thinking that 10 months from today that we will be on our way to Glacier National Park as we are staying there a few nights before we cruise.

My daughter Adriane is going to start a kid's thread for this cruise. So, if you have any kids that would like to get to know each other before they cruise---please have them look up Adriane's post for this cruise.:goodvibes

Welcome!!! My DD will also be 13 at the time of the cruise, so I'll have her look for the thread! There is already a group doing the FE, I'm sure someone will post the info for you to join. We're myself Lori, DH Darren, DD Julianna(13) and DS Brandon(10). We're on deck 8 in 8088. Though we are waitlisted for a cat 3, hoping it will come through......

HI Vicki! :) Welcome aboard!

We're in MN, so we're neighbors! Our party is Gerald (DH), Krista (me), Alexandra (16), Madeline (11) and Benjamin (9), along with my mom and dad.

Will you be flying from MSP? I'm not sure what we're doing for flights. To fly to Seattle is $369 and to fly to Vancouver is $609. For the five of us to take the train from Seattle to Vancouver adds about $300. I think we'll just wait for awhile longer and hope the airfare from MSP to Vancouver drops some more. It's so expensive to fly out of MSP, isn't it!?!?

Have a great time on your Western Caribbean. :) DH and I just got back from the WBTA two weeks ago.

Krista

Hi,

Thanks for the welcome!

I will have to go through the thread and find the info on the FE list.:) My daughter Adriane is excited that there will be another girl her age on the cruise. She is looking forward to hearing from your daughter on the kids' thread. Her thread is called " Calling all kid cruisers on the BRRiliant Klondlike cruise to Alaska- Aug. 23-Aug.30 2011."

Hi neighbor :) Thanks for the welcome.:goodvibes

We are actually going to drive to Vancouver in our RV. I know what you mean about it being so expensive to fly. It is just too much for the 7 of us and the hassle of security, etc..

We are very excited to cruise in 2 weeks! Wow - the WBTA--that had to be a fun cruise! How long were you on the ship for?

Vicki
