"DCL Klondike Kruisers" - August 23, 2011 PART 2

We finally had 2 days in the 70's! It was amazing!

We are going to be in the high 90's all week. I have been reading some of the reports and am getting very excited.

THere is that awful 4 letter word! I am exercising and watching what I eat for 3 weks and have lost a total if 1/2 lb. Hope your party was fun.

It's so frustrating. I did start walking at lunch time so I am hoping maybe that will get my metabolism working!!! My sister is cooking every night and when she is not we are eating out!!!!!

We are going to be in the high 90's. We are paying golf at 12:00. I think we are crazy!!!

You are!!! And so am I . When I walk at lunch it is the hottest part of the day, but it's the only spare time I have.

My nephew and family arrived Saturday. I forgot how active two little boys can be. We were in the pool from 9:30 am yesterday until 5pm, with a lunch break and emptying the uhaul break. We had to put an alrm on the back door so we know when it opens. It's going to give me heart failure, but we don't want any little people out there with out an adult!!!

Good luck! THis will give you practice for grandchidren. AIdan is in WDW this week with her parents and other grandparents. I was really upset that they would not tell us when they were going so that we would not go. I do not even recognize my son these days.

Please keep them down there. Look on Meg's facebook page. Cassie (RObin and Mike's daughter) took their engagement pictures Sat and meg changed her pic to one she took. She has not posted the rest to her website. She is really good. She is takng their wedding pics too.

we are doing fine here today in chicago and going to be in the high 80's or 90's today . I love summer.

It's hot here in Orlando and dry - we could use some rain. I know the tourists visiting won't like that but we need the rain. Was over at Downtown Disney for dinner at Paradiso 37 last night - very good if you have never been there. We are headed over to Ft. Desoto this week to get in some kayaking in preparation for our kayak trip before the cruise. Can't wait for the cruise - so looking forward to being back in Alaska.

Wow, I had no idea we would be eating alone So many of you are late dining. Did I miss the memo OR is late dining for the cool people

I do not care what time zone we are in. If DH does not get fed by 6 he has this personality change that would scare Captain Hook

Oh no we do not need two captain hooks on board! LOL . We are on late dining, I do not want to be rushing to get ready on port days, so we usually end up with late dining.

Glad to see there are lots of children going.. being a Alaska cruise I was worried the rollcall was going to look a bit more like a Holland A rollcall.. Guess its time to start planning.

We decided if we were going to take the kids (teens) to AK, we were going to do it with DCL.

Character breakfast
Palo brunch
Palo dinner (5:45?)
Late dining for kids.

We were stuffed!

Our dachshund has been put on a diet by the vet, he claims he's too fat as well. She told us to give him carrots for treats. He gets them raw an LOVES THEM!!! I buy the baby ones and he gets one of those. I even try to give him his reg treats once in a while as a special treat, but he actually prefers the carrots now!!!!

every dog I have ever had loved carrots, except this (doxie) that I have now, she is such a strange dog!

Well we survived our 22 mile bike a thon. Did it in a little less than 2 hours. That was a good time for us. The bridges at both ends were killers!!!

We do late dining because we do not have kids (at least not age wise). Sometimes we act like kids or at least the guys do.
