Ok I see when we go to Tracy Arm we actually don;t get off the ship. so we are really two days at sea then.

Hi all! Just got back from WDW and am ready for the cruise planning. :goodvibes I will not be up at midnight but will be doing the check in tomorrow. I am trying to get caught up on work today. :surfweb:

I'm fairly certain nothing will sell out before the next morning....I'm just afraid that if I DON'T stay up, I'll forget to do it tomorrow ;)

I am going to do it!! But it's only 11 here!! But I have to get up at 4am to catch my flight to Orlando!!

I happened to log onto DCL's site this am...I booked a GTY room and it's been assigned. I booked a 9A and got a 9A. My travel agent's site isn't showing it yet, but if any of you have gty status, you might want to log in and take a look.

At least you know where you are now. You can't complain, though I do know you were hoping for an upgrade........

No complaints! I booked what I'd be happy with. I just cannot see spending another 1k on a balcony I most likely would not spend much time on. Besides...I have lots of very awesome friends who have balconies...:)!

Very true!!!!!:rotfl::rotfl:

Incidentally, I was also able to see the tea rezzie. :coffee:

The other good thing about my room is that it will be near laundry facilities. :laundy:

I'm hoping to get everything into 5 bags. I bought a new HUGE rolling duffle to give me more space within my bag allotment. We're allowed 1 bag each free on Air Canada, so if I bring 5, I only have to pay for 1 more on the way out. I'm sure I'll need 6 on the way home, along with souvies, my clothes always seem to expand after we leave home.........

Are you at work right now, only explanation I can come up with you quick firing back at 5AM your time.....

I am at work...2 hours to go....sigh.

When we got all that new luggage for last summer I made sure to go with the lightest stuff I could get, and the duffels (one in particular), just really seem to absorb that weight well. I've NEVER gotten the Eagle Creek one over 40 pounds! The other one was a Costco special (a sampsonite, I think), that is equally as good, but a bit heavier from the get-go.

At this rate, we're never going to have to pack up our winter stuff. I'll just wash it and then pack!

Hehehe.. I have to buy all new for myself.... I'll just grab some of the kids stuff, luckily they have enough storage in their rooms where I don't have to pack it up every year.....

Oh wouldn't that be nice! (the storage, not necessarily the shopping..). I'm pretty bored wearing all the same old stuff, so maybe I'll look on the clearance racks at REI....planning ahead for next fall/winter. Right?

Mine still says GTY  Maybe eventually we will have a room. I might see you at the laundry facilities...I started my list last night and boy....it's long. And I've only done the list for our toddler!

We've always managed with a large suitcase and a small suitcase plus garment bag. But with the extra layering clothes and jackets and such I think we're going to bite the bullet and get another large suitcase. Still aiming to stick to three bags, but I'll probably bring a duffel too for souvies like you.

On a side note, I went to IKEA yesterday with my Mom and I found Izzy some super cool play sets that fold flat - they'll be totally new to her and they weigh next to nothing. And if anything gets lost who cares? I highly recommend that for anyone travelling with a little one :-)
I'm all about deals and efficiency :thumbsup2
