My aunt and uncle gave me some information on the DCL when it first opened. One thing I got was 2 innagral sailing pins. I was wondering if they are limited edition pins, or mass produced. I was also wondering the current value, not that I would actually trade them...they look too cool!

there are several different ones check out pinpics numbers... 198, 5081 and 58 depends which one you have...

I have 198 or 5081. I cant see if there is a diffrence. The number beside (c)Disney in the lower left hand cornner is KQBO0120 if that helps.

Anyinfo is appricatedm

There is a difference in the two pins.

pin 5081 is the Cloisonne Cruise Line Inaugural Sailings version given on the actual maden voyage of the Magic! The other similar pin #198 was given at the Disneyana Convention and to Castaway Club Members as a gift! Pin # 198 has a clear plastic coating over the face of the pin this pin does not.

so what you need to look at is does the pin that you have have an enamel coating over it or is it straight cloisenne. That will give you an idea of where it came from.

What is the trade value of pin 5081, the cloisonne version?
I picked one up in trade at my last visit to WDW, and I like it.

Probably because his question still hasn't been answered. I am not sure about the trade value of the pin. It is a nice pin and those that started their collections later are still looking for the pin.. I know to get mine I traded something nice although I get remember what it was. The cloisenne is better than the other one and worth more in trade. Have you checked ebay are any of these on it? If not and their haven't been any in awhile then you might get more in trade because that means it is getting scarcer to find. Hope this helps...
