DCL DVC Member Meeting

I hope this belongs here and not the Cruise forum

I am going on the 4-day Wonder cruise on 1/14. I know they have a DVC member thing on the ship and I would like to go. I have also read somewhere on the boards that DCL seems to "know" who the DVCer's are and sends them an invite. But I am going with my cousin, who is a cast member at WDW, so I don't know if they will "know" about me, since the reservation is under her name and everything.

Should I ask at Guest Services about the meet when we board? Or is the meeting not even worth it? Also, can I bring my cousin who is not a member?? TIA for any help.

The DVC member meet should be listed in your "Navigator" ( on-board events newspaper ). This meeting is just like the weekly ones at SSR on Wednesdays ( ? ). Just an update on DVC stuff and some free giveaways. There were six DVC members at our cruise meet in March '06, so we all got gifts. BTW, I didn't get any kind of notice, I just saw it in the Navigator.

We made our initial reservation just prior to becoming DVC members, so they did not know about us. When I saw the DVC rep, I told her we were new members and by the time we got back to our cabin, they stuck the DVC magnet on our door & we found an invitation to the DVC member meeting on the bed.
