DCL Couch Bed comfort?

I have done the couch bed on the Fantasy and the Wish and my 15yr old at the time did the couch bed on Magic. They are really pretty comfortable. It was more comfortable than the one I just slept on on the Carnival Jubilee. I am 5'4" and my child was 5'9" and we ranged in weight from 140- 165 lbs if that gives you any help. The best part was on the Fantasy and the Magic is the fact that we could pull the TV to the side of the room with the couch. On the Wish the TV was on the other side of the curtain but you could use the On demand content on your own personal device.

The best bed for an adult to sleep on besides the main bed is the Murphy bed. Only the “Deluxe” category of rooms has it (and not all of them either, the room description on the website when clicking on a specific room will tell you if it has a Murphy bed). It’s actually slightly wider than the sofa.

I always sleep on the sofa bed as hate sharing beds with anyone (especially my sister as she moves so much). In 17 cruises on the Magic, Wonder and Dream, I've found it comfortable and I prefer the sideways layout and motion while sleeping if it's rough seas. I'm 5ft 7 gor reference. Just off the Dream and preferred the sofa bed on the second part of our back to back in verandah room as was similar to one on Magic and Wonder and had arms on each end. The one in the inside room didn't and was definitely shorter as my feet were off the end on that one so they do vary in size.

Our kids were adult sized when we cruised Disney and found the pull down bed and the sofa bed comfortable.
The beds were still splitable when we cruised on the Magic. I suspect the complaints about the "ridge" in the middle were more common that requests to split the bed so they switched. Disney doesn't make changes without a lot of research. And I assume Disney gets far fewer people sharing a stateroom that want the bed split than other lines.

In my experience having sailed solo on ships that do have the 2 twins, the stateroom host has to really know how to sheet the beds so that they don't slide apart during the night - or whenever you're on them. While I wasn't a fan of Holland America overall, their hosts were the BEST at preventing slippage (or maybe they used a strap - I'm not sure). Royal Caribbean and Celebrity I've had mixed results. Some hosts were ok at it - I could definitely tell there was a ridge but only once would I wake up in a ditch between the mattresses. The other times an arm or foot would be in there. Thankfully on Celebrity's Edge Class I can book a solo cabin where the bed is a double - no ridges or getting eaten. Other than that give me Disney's single mattress all day every day.

Disney used to have the split twins as an option. Not sure when they stopped that and installed the Queen beds.

I think the Dream and Fantasy came with the one bed and shortly after they started, the Magic and Wonder were refitted. On my first cruise in 2013 the Wonder already had the queen bed, but it was fairly new then.
