DCL Cookie Recipe Mystery

We just got off the Magic and my DH LOVED the chocolate chip cookies...he said they were better than mine!

We asked the pastry chef on the galley tour for the recipe and he said to ask the server and he could get it. Ok, so when we asked he looked at us like we had nine heads. Turns out the cookies dough is made off ship and brought on in frozen balls then baked. Wouldn't the pastry chef know that? So my question is...

Has anyone gotten their hands on the recipe and want to share it?

Sorry, your post made me laugh!!

No nuts! I've never had them warm but we haven't been able to do the galley tour yet. And the best part, you can order them to your room for free!!! I always ordered them for my DD. But somehow she never ended up getting any.

I do not have the official recipe--but I came up with something pretty close. I do the standard toll House recipe but instead of half white sugar and half ligth brown I use half light brown and half dark brown. I add about a 1/4 cup of molasses as well and then keep adding flour until the dough is not too sticky. This is pretty close.

So I tried using all brown sugar and adding molasses and it was close. I think next time I need more flower to make them more cake like.

They are the same cookies. We were told by our server that they make 8,000 of them on Castaway Cay day. You can get the same cookies all week long at Goofy's Galley. Right next to the ice cream....
