DCL - Computer Upgrade

Just a heads up for anyone needing to call DCL this coming week. I had to call Saturday afternoon; and a recorded message said that the DCL computers would be down for an upgrade from Wednesday (5/26) until Sunday (5/30). The operators will only be able to answer general questions during that time.

I think if you are paid in full--you are safe.
Cruise rates increase all of the time as the ship fills up--once you have paid a deposit let alone paid in full, I believe you are locked in and they really can't make you pay more--otherwise everyone who has a reservation would be at risk to lose out to the highest bidder.

Not totally true. We booked our May '04 trip in May '03 and in that year's time I believe we received two new confirmation sheets with a new (increased) price. There was also a letter stating that port fees were increasing in (I think) Grand Cayman and that there was an increase in our fare. Each time it was minor--less than $5 each time if my memory serves me correctly. I kind of glanced at it and put it aside, so I'm a bit sketchy on the details.

Okay, I can see increases in port fees .... DCL may not have a lot of control there .... but IMHO that's different than DCL increasing the rates
