Does Disney have the ability to make Christmas cards? I saw a few in the "Lifestyle Photos" thread, but I wasn't sure if theywere made by someone else, or made on the ship.

If they do have cards, can anyone give me the details? Are there a few options to choose from? How much are they? How long does it take to get them?

I know that I can get a picture taken and just get the release to do it myself, but if it isn't too expensive, I'dlove 'official' Disney ones!

Any info would be helpful!

Yes, we got our 2004 Christmas cards onboard at Shutters. I don't recall exactly how many choices there were but I don't think there were too many. They came out nice, though, and were about the same price that I usually pay at home anyway.

I know that there was a big discussion about this not too long ago, but forgot what the thread was called. I am sure if you do a search in this forum for Christmas cards, you will come up with it. The thread I am thinking of had what the different picture options were (so cool!) and the prices! :goodvibes

We are going end of November, right in time to send out Christmas cards when we get off the ship, so this is a DEFINITE for us! I can't wait! I do remember most people saying the price wasn't bad at all. I think they came in packages of 25 and 50.

schmoogirl! hi!!

i think the cards are $20 for 25 or $35 for 50...with envelopes and i think they can only use certain poses....

we are going to do this too! we'll of course see you there!

we can have a "best-dressed" contest between our girls!!! :flower:

I got 50 for $39.95. You can also get 25 for $24.95 and 100 for $59.95. Just keep on having portraits taken and the best one that comes out, go to Shutters and have them make Christmas pictures out of them.

Ours came out absolutely beautiful. We had a formal portrait done on formal night which I chose to be our Christmas picture because my DDs were wearing red dresses, DH was wearing a dark suit with a red tie, and I wore a black dress. If you want it more casual, you could have the Lifestyle portraits taken. They also do very well on the Christmas spread.

Just make sure you plan to bring coordinating outfits so the picture doesn't look too "busy" on the Christmas background.

Here is what our card looked like. (I edited out the bottom where there is space to write whatever you want). :boat: :fish:

We had them done, thought they came out great and couldn't beat the convenience.

Walking off the ship with the next those cards done was well worth the cost.

We plan on doing it again this year.

I agree with the convenience. We were ready to stick them in envelopes when we got home. My daughter also did the one shown above shaped like a christmas ball ornament. My daughter wore one of her Sleeping Beauty costumes with one of my necklaces and it came out so great. We travelled in December that time, but this time we are going this October, but I think I will still have some done.

Pea-n-Me,

Love your Disney Christmas card!! Both your children are so adorable!! :goodvibes

Can you only get them near Christmas time or are they always available? Can you get them made on a 3 day cruise? they look neat, but we don't sail until Feb 06. Thanks!

one more thing to add to our trip! This will be great to have them all finished before arriving home as our cruise ends 12/17...hmm, maybe I should bring labels and mail from CC as well...Nah!
