Hello Fellow Disney Cruisers,

I have noticed photos on several webpages of people receiving special celebration cakes on the cruise because they are celebrating a birthday, anniversary, honeymoon ect. I am going to be on my honeymoon on my cruise and it is marked on our reservations. Can I expect to receive a cake one night on the cruise or do you have to order/pay for one ?

Also in the photos I have seen it looked liked the cake has chocolate icing on it. Is this correct ? I am totally unable to eat chocolate and tree nuts (I get a migrane and/or canker sores) so would I be able to request a chocolate and tree nut free cake ? If I did would I need to call before we leave home or just tell them when we get on the ship ?

Any replies would be very appreciated :)

I received a cake on my honeymoon cruise in Sept last year. We didnt order it, our TA just made sure that she indecated on our booking that it was our honeymoon on every leg of our trip.

I wasnt able to take a photo of mine, but ours wasnt chocloate, i think it was white cream icing and sponge with a mikey and minnie picture on the top.

Sorry i cant be of anymore help,

Have a great time!

Wow, I hope you also put on your reserverations the allergies you have. DCL is extremely accomodating to allergies. Have a discussion with your server the first nite of your trip just in case. The more they know, the better it will be for you. I can't speak for the cake but do recall two seperate ocassions on our trip by hearing the singing....or was the singing in my own happy world?

We were on the Magic for our anniversary in '98 and DH mentioned it to our stateroom hostess. When we got back to our cabin late that night, there was a cake waiting and a bottle of champagne chilling.:D The cake was a white cake with white icing with Mickey and Minnie on top. It was gratis and was a wonderful way to end our anniversary.

Even though it is on your reservation, mention it to your head server just to be sure. We have celebrated various events on our cruises, and the cakes have been different, so I'm sure they can accommodate your allergies. They are great about things like that. The will also bring you "Magical Memories" buttons. Have an awesome honeymoon...a Disney cruise is the BEST way to celebrate!!

Thanks for all of the replies. :) I will be sure to mention that we are on our honeymoon to the head server and the stateroom hostess. I will also mention the allergies to them. But I don't think I will bother telling DCL to put the allergies on the reservation because mine are not very serious or life threatening. Plus I checked out Barb's wonderful website and looked at the menus and there should be plenty of chocolate and tree nut free desserts each night to choose from. Thanks again !
