DCL Cast Members - Friends & Photos

One of the things that we love most about cruising with DCL is the friends we make during the cruise. We all hate leaving the ship, but more than that we don't like to say goodbye to our DCL friends that made our trip memorable.

Please let us know if you have seen any of the below on the Magic recently. Wisanu (Wis) Server, Dennis - Assistant, John - Head Server, Gloria - Retail (Mickey Mates & Treasure Ketch), and Florentine - Ship's Photographer.

We have Gloria's email and stay in touch, but we would love to know if any of these cast members have been seen on the ship recently. We are sailing over Thanksgiving and hope we will see them again.

Wis & Dennis - They made a great team!

John wasn't our head server this time, but he loved seeing us again.

Gloria is practically family; hopefully she will come to visit.

Florentine had a quiet moment so I turned the tables on him and made him stand with Sarah in front of his backdrop while we took his picture.

Our last trip in August with our family.

You mention emailing a CM ... unfortunately, we didn't think to ask for any addresses while on board. Is ther any way to find an address, or a general mailbox to send a message for delivery to a certain CM? Anyone have any info? Thanks. Hindsight .... you know.

We went in April and had a wonderful time. Hope I haven't posted to many photos here.
Karina in concierge was wonderful!!
Florentin, Monica, Nicolette and Christina in Shuters were great!! We took a lot of photos since we were working on scrapbooks for our fellow travelers while on board so we saw the photo staff regularly.
B.J., one of the character handlers, was really great - we saw her a lot to since we are all nuts for the characters.
Navneet and Paula were our servers for dinner and we had a blast getting to know them and joking around.
Carolina in Rockin Bar D was really sweet.
Jeff was our head server and he was so nice.
I have photos of some of them (most with our traveling bear Dio - they were great about taking photos with her).

John was onboard in January for our last trip and will be going on vacation sometime in June. So if he signs back on - which seems likely since he's been there nearly 7 years now - he should be there for your Thanksgiving cruise. He's one of those CMs we have kept in close touch with over the years. And we have requested him for our last 4 cruises and been blessed to have him. Our kids actually insist we plan our vacations around his schedule! He is an absolute doll and the kids can't get enough of him. Jeff was also there in January, but I'm not as well versed on his schedule!

This Thanksgiving will be our 5th cruise and 3rd 7-day, but we never requested servers. Do you call DCL to make that request.


RealMickeysGirl: Great photos, thanks for posting. That is what this thread is all about, to share your photos and experiences. Jeff is a great head server. We never had him, but he has been helpful is so many ways.

druiser: Most of the CMs have their own personal email addresses, but I don't think DCL has set up accounts for their CMs (maybe the officers have them - I don't know).

You can send them regular mail and packages as long as you know their name. Even if you didn't know their last name addressing a letter to "John - Head Server" would work.

We have actually made our initial requests through our TA. However, I believe we have had to have our assignments switched several times after we've boarded. We just head to Rockin' Bar D and check who our head server is, and if it's not John they have been able to switch it for us. They are very accomodating - even though we feel a little guilty knowing what a logistical nightmare it could be on a full or nearly full ship to start switching people all around. And I was mistaken - we didn't have him during our Hurricane Jeanne cruise in Sept; that was when we had Jeff. But John was around so much and took such good care of us anyway that it was like he WAS our Head Server (though Jeff was excellent too). But we did again have him in January. The CMs are why we keep on going back to Disney. We just feel they can't be beat!

We cruised the 10 day Christmas cruise & had Wis(from Thiland). Of course Christmas day was when the tital wave hit that country. So he got off the ship the day we did & Disney was giving him 2 months leave. I wonder what happened to him. Anybody know?

Good the hear from you. Great job on the CSR website! When are you going again. We have this Thanksgiving (Nov 19th) and Aug 19, 2006 both Western Caribbean double dips.

Still pin trading? John just had a 48 hour pin event, I expect another towards the end of the year in November.

Since last August, we've been trying to re-connect with Rebbecca Still from England, who at that time was the manager of characters (usually found with or near Mickey Mouse at shows, photo shoots, etc.). She did some incredibly special things for my then 13 year old DD who has special needs. Several months later we sent her a letter, some pics, and a small gift. It was returned several months later... saying she was not on the Magic. There is rumor she may be back on the Wonder. If ANY ONE knows if she is still with DCL, or not, I would LOVE to be able to touch base with her.

Yes we were!!! Are you the family that I asked if you were in line for Mickey or Goofy?

Yep, that's us - crazy for the characters. We all used to live in the same city but are now scattered so we get together for a vacation ever year or two.

Glad your daughter liked the bear. I had a lot of fun dressing her up and taking her places. She is my sorority chapter's mascot and she goes on vacation with different sisters. She has been to Nebraska, Iowa, Orlando, St. Martin/St. Maartin, and St. Thomas now. She may go to Hilton Head in August. She has her own little sorority scrapbook where we put her traveling photos.
