It all the TR's i've read, it looks like a different cake each time! Is the VR cake on DCL different from the standard Escape package cake for the resort? I hope so as I really don't like that cake! :rotfl: I know i can have DCL change the cake, for a fee, but what does the "normal" cake look like?

Hey Jennifer! I had the SAME concern! LOL. So I understand where you're coming from.

I just got off the Cathy, who works for Disney Fairytale Weddings Specifically for the cruise line (I'm planning a wedding with hopefully 40 or so guests so keep that in mind because maybe she was catering her answers to my needs). She said that you don't have to get that cake topper or the piping on the cake. She mentioned I could get fondant (I do cake decorating so I know the terms but just ask if you don't know what fondant is), flowers as the cake topper....

There are other options! Not a million, but other options. YAY!

Thanks!! Oh that's too funny! I do cake decorating too, so i'm very particular about what i want my cake to look, and taste, like!! I like the fondant, but i've heard mixed reviews about Disney's fondant, and i'm not sure if it is just because disney has a bad kind, or if it's just from people who don't know what to expect from fondant. :confused3 I really wish i could do a tasting of it before hand! :thumbsup2

We had a DVR on the Wonder 2 yrs ago and the cake was truely beautiful. It also had fondant in white with pink roses. It was the best tasting cake we ever had.

Sorry the pic is so large, still learning how to attach them on my posts.

I wish I could attach a pic but for some reason the Disboards won't let me post attachments. I believe the pics are still on photobucket...

Can you post a link to your photobucket pic? Your cake sounds beautiful!
