DCL Beer Mugs

This is our 6th Disney Cruise and we still have our glass mugs from our 1st cruise. We've successfully brought them back each time we've cruised with no issues refilling at the discount price. However, I know DCL has made many changes since our last cruise in 2012. Can anyone tell me if you can still bring old mugs onboard and get the discount refill price? We FINALLY got rid of all of the ESPN Zone mugs and all of ours are now DCL logo'ed mugs.

From what I understand, the answer is YES. I have read many reports along these lines. Our 1st trip is in July. But, I already have a mug. Our friends that are on the same cruise purchased one for me during thier Panama Cruise.

Yes. But unless you enjoy lugging the mugs around you should know you can exchange them for a card that will allow you to get a fresh mug when you need it. I take the card home and then just exchange it once I am back on board. I'll also usually get a card after my last beer of the night and avoid hauling a mug back to my cabin.

Wait... so if I still have the cards from our cruise last spring, I can bring them back on our cruise next year and get a discount??? I've never heard of that before - what's the discount? Where do you exchange the cards? please elaborate!

The beer mug/card allows for a 22oz refill for the price of a 16oz. And yes, if you have the mug or card from a previous trup you can use it on future trips.

You just exchange them like you do when you use the card on the cruise they were purchased on. Hand the card to the bartender and they'll give you a mug in return.
