Not sure how much its been discounted (if at all) but its supposed to be an offer.

Barcelona 27th August for 7 night Med cruise from £724pp (based on 2 adults)
Just priced up 2 adults £1,428
2 adults & 2 children £2,284

Prices incl all taxes.
No flights included.

Doesn't sound massively discounted. We paid that for our 13th august med cruise, and considering this one mentioned goes into the start of school term, doesn't seem great.
Although I notice our cruise has gone from $2300 (11c) to $3000 (11b), maybe they're bumping up prices to then knock them down and call them discounts?

yea, we're on the 30th July one, our price for a 10c has increased from $2600 to $3300 ... I wondered whether this was so they could then claim to discount it!

We are on the 13th of August Med too :)

Great stuff!!
There's a thread for cruise on the cruise meets forum of the DIS, check it out.

Still having trouble finding a Barcelona hotel for either end of the cruise :)

Loads of peeps stay at the Novotel city and have good things to say about it. Or the Patrick, the one with the green bathroom tiles, not the other one, look at tripadvisor and you'll see what I mean.

We're staying at one of the Catalonia group hotels. I cant remember which one off the top of my head, but the location looks good, have a look at the Thomas Cook website, although it was cheaper for me to book it direct than with Thomas Cook.

We're on the 20/08 sailing.

We stayed at the Novotel Barcelona City which was great. walking distance to the Sagrada Famillia.

Lovely roof terrace and pool. The photos on the website dont show the pool.

I think the Med cruises are too high and as others have said it looks like they have raised the prices ready to discount them.

Over £5000 for a family of 4 for a 2 week cruise with inside cabins is too much. With airfares, tips, pre cruise hotels and taxi's to and from airports, hotels etc on top it soon adds up.

We could cruise from Southampton on RCCL for a 14 night cruise with ocean view for less money.

If the prices come down we will book for August.:)

Will do!

We are def staying at the W one of the two nights (we are doing 1 night either end too, great minds and all that ;)) and I think after we get off the cruise I would like to try a hotel in the heart of the city. We are ''collecting'' W hotels so I can't miss the oppertunity plus its super close to the port. :goodvibes

I saw the W the other day while looking round for hotels and thought 'wow', then I saw the price :(
Can't justify it for a base for one night pre or post cruise :(

Unless I find a great deal there then I'll be on it like a flash, looks a gorgeous hotel!

:goodvibes

we've booked the Novotel City ... its about £80 a night B&B on our dates ...glad to hear its a decent hotel :)

Luke if your join SPG (Starwoods rewards) they always have fantastic deals and also have a system where if you have or buy 1000 points you can get 50% off rack rate where availible. There are tons of deals to be had but they are not always well advertised. Also on their website sometimes what looks like the best deal is not. They are tricky customers lol but there are deals to be had.

Is the hotel just called "patrick hotel"?

Just joined, thanks.
Hopefully an offer will come up for either the W or Le Meridien :)
