DCA trivia buffs, I need your help!

256? Where is the 256?!?

Let me first start by saying that my husband noticed this a while back and it's just been slowly becoming an obsession.

As you are walking from Grizzly River Run toward Golden Dreams, there are the Victorian Buildings on the left-hand side.

The sequence for the numbering of the building is:
4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, 512

So what's wrong with that *I* said. DH replied, "It's missing 256!"

So now it's our mission to find out why 256 isn't in the sequence. Something like that wouldn't happen by accident. Why isn't there a 256?

When were there for the 4th of July (yes, we got to watch a whole 7 minutes of fireworks after standing there for over 2 hours) we went to City Hall and asked there. They said, Hmmm, don't know, give us your e-mail address and we'll try to find out.

So I'm sending this up the DIS way hoping that one of you knows the answer or at least makes up something really great.

It is probably missing 256, its most likely it ran out of space to put it there i guess or maybe the 256 is just somewhere else.

Maybe they left it out because 13 is an unlucky number: 2+5+6=13

J/K really i dunno... but I'm going looking for it in Oct...

Albort --> I was wondering if the 256 was maybe like one of the upstairs addresses in the Victorian houses but we haven't found anything yet. It's such a specific sequence I don't think that they could've accidentally left it out.

Sy- --> Oooooh, I never would've thought of that #13 thing. I'm not a numbers girl. My husband is a computer programmer which is why I think it stood out to him.
