Has anyone done this? I have been thinking about calling out and booking it.
I just wanted to know if it was worth it?

We had a great time doing this, in fact we've done it twice. You'll spend about 45 - 60 minutes learning the basics of the segway and then another hour riding around the park. All of this is done before the park (DCA) opens to the public.

Yes, we had a blast doing this. I would highly reccomend it. We were served juice, coffee, and I believe tea, along with muffins while we watched the orientation film. Then out to get acquainted with the seg-way. We had so much doing this we did it again but in WDW.:thumbsup2 :tink:

So what are the details of the tour? Age requirements and price I mean.

I did the tour around Epcot and that was so much fun.

$99.00 and you have to be 16

Which sucks, because my 15 years and 6 month old brother won't be able to do it when we're there... I was really looking forward to this tour too... :sad2:

In addition, for their safety, the Disneyland Resort requires that Guests experiencing Cruzin' Disney's California Adventure Park! Tour weigh 250 lbs. (113 kg.) or less.

Guests taking this tour are asked to park in the Downtown Disney District parking lots. Guests on this tour will receive validated all-day parking in that lot.

I read about the tour and requirements but wanted opinions of what it was like? Do folks have time to take photo's?. Do not want it to be Daytona on a Segway.

Jack, I did the Segway tour with Stacerita, and a few other Dis Ladies on our trip in March. It was a blast. You get training on how to operate the Segways (which is not as easy as it seems, really). And then you get to take a tour around the park. My favorite place was when we got to ride through the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail area.

You aren't allowed to take pictures during the actual tour because they don't want you using your camera while operating the Segway and technically, the park is closed so you can see some maintenance CM's and other 3rd shift CM crews working. They also take you backstage at one point (very briefly).

They do take a group photo afterward and we managed to get a few individual shots at the end of the tour.

Let me know if you have any other questions. I'd definitely do it again -- it was really neat!

Thanks DM, I was kinda hoping to get some good photo's without a ton of people in them and a photo display of the whole tour. I quess too much classified stuff.

Soooooo, do you do the tour and what was the experience like.

Yes I did the tour and I enjoyed it. I have pics and details in my trip report linked in my sig.

I too, was one of the Diva's on the Segway Tour in March. It was well worth it. DCA was so quiet and pretty. We all wished there was more time for pix, but you really only stop a couple of times. The time flew by so quickly. Our guide Liz was so sweet and cute, she was a joy to be with. And remember you get a discount for AP, Disney Visa and maybe even AAA, I forget, but check when you book. It brings the price down quite a bit. Book it, you won't regret it!:thumbsup2
