DCA Pixar Place Hotel entrance - limited hours?

Last summer when we stayed at the Pixar Place Hotel, we used the new-ish entrance into DCA all the time. I read somewhere that there are limited hours when this entrance is open...maybe only until 12 noon? Is this true? We are staying there again this summer and I would like to know what to expect regarding this entrance.

If there are limited hours, can someone confirm if we can enter the Grand with our PPH room key and then use the Grand entrance into DCA? Also, is the new entrance always available for exit?

We found this very convenient, especially when entering the park in the evening, after an afternoon rest at the hotel.

Yes the current hours are noon for entrance and til closing for exiting

Bummer! Do you know about using the Grand entrance? Can we get in through the gate with our PPH key? I would really hate to have to walk to the DTD security entrance in the evening just to get into DCA, which is right across the street!

We used our Disneyland Hotel Key. We didn't swipe, there was a CM there and we just showed her.
