DCA parking help

I will be flying out of Reagan National airport to Disney and wondered where the best place to park my car will be. I plan on being at Disney from Saturday evening until Friday night. Where is the best place to leave my car? Should I leave it in extended parking or does anyone have another recommendation? Thanks!

What do you mean by "best"? If you're flying out of Terminal B/C, the garage is directly across from the terminal, so it is very convenient ... but not cheap.

By best, I mean safe - although cheap doesn't hurt either. I want to leave the car somewhere it will be safe. I will be flying in after it gets dark and want to feel safe walking to the car. I know the airport has long term parking available.

I usually fly out of PIT and park at Charlie Brown's. I drop the car off there and they shuttle me to the airport. Then when I return, I just call and they come pick me up - my car is ready when I get to their lot. I wondered if Reagan has something like that.

Long term parking at DCA is very safe. I would not park in the garage by the terminal as it is daily and hourly parking and is very expensive.

Another option - could you have someone drop you at a Metro station and not even worry about a car and parking? Or use a taxi to get to/from a Metro station? The Metro stop at DCA is pretty convenient.....

Plutopony - I wish we could take the metro in. It would make it alot easier. DD is graduating that morning from Penn State. We plan on attending graduation then driving down to DC to catch the flight to Florida. I did look into parking at one of the metro stations but only a few permit overnight parking. With the timing, I don't think we will have time to go to an overnight Metro lot let alone drive home and have a friend drive us back.

DCA does not have any third party parking lots. Your choices are the Economy Lot for $12 per day (shuttle bus to terminal), the Daily Garage for $20 per day (best in my opinion--no shuttle required), or park at a local hotel and take their shuttle. DCA is in an urban high value area so parking is just not cheap.
