Ok, so I always hear people talking about what time to line up at the maingates for DL for rope drop. Does DCA do rope drop? And if DCA is opening at say 10am on Friday October 31 (just a guess), what time should I be in line if we are going straight to TSMM? I am asking also because we are planning on making PS for Carnation Cafe that morning and wondering how early I should make the reservation. If 9 is the earliest that day, then that answers that question, but if I can get in at 8 (say DL opens at 9 and Main St. at 8), then should I do an 8:30, allow 1 hour for breakfast, and line up at 9:30, or is that not early enough??

TIA!!

actually, if DCA opens at 10, the main gate into DCA will open at 9:30, but the only place you can go is Soarin'--then there is a "rope drop" of sorts for the rest of the park at 10

Callie and Stacie--is that right?

It may be early enough . . . but not really knowing how the lines for TSMM will be in Octber, I'm not positive.

They open the DCA gates at 9:30 and the only attraction operating during that time is Soarin. People who want to do TSMM first will go straight through Sunshine Plaza to where they will have a rope up and then they will drop the rope at official park opening and the hoardes of TSMM people will walk purposefully (um, yeah, right) over the Pier to get in line.

So, if I was one of those people wanting to ride TSMM first thing, I would probably be at the DCA turnstiles at 8:45 or 9:00 at the latest.

HTH.

Yep Cheryl, you got it right! :thumbsup2

Sounds good. I will be hoping for an 8am PS at Carnation Cafe then. Followed by a power walk to TSMM.:rotfl2:
