DCA Lights at night in May

I'll be at DLR the first week of May. This will be my first visit. DCA closes at 6 pm each night I'm there, so that is prior to sunset. Does anyone know if the lights come on even after closing? I would assume the park goes dark, but I'd like to see the neon and lights of the Sun Wheel and other attractions.

Lights should be on. You'll be able to see some of them from the esplanade and others depending on where you're staying. But since the PPH has so many theme park view rooms the lights are on. :)

My experience is only based on one weeknight in September but they turned out the lights pretty darn early.

We stayed at DCA until closing and then meandered back to our park view room at the Paradise Pier. It was about 7:45. The view was amazing with the park all lit up and then I went to do something and returned to find that almost all the lights were out.

I think they had left the Golden Zephry on.

I must say that I was pretty bummed as I had expected that the lights would at least be on until 9:00?
