DCA & DLR Rufurb list - Feb 2007 update & Monorail Update

Yikes, no Splash in Feb! Hopefully this means Pirates will be up. I can't imagine they would have 2 majors down for extended refurb at the same time.

Last time I visited DL, SM and BTMRR and Indianna Jones were all down, and it was for scheduled repairs. They have actually had 3 biggies down at once! This was in February 2004. We are going again this February, and I just really hope Indy is up and running.

I figured when I saw the DL calendar for January Splash would be down for a long refurb. Glad I move our trip up a week so it will be open when we go! I probably should say open as of now!

I mean have they ever opened back up sooner then expected?

this is for just january...POTC will go down probably the following month and yes they will have 2 majors down at the same time

I know Pirates will be going down at some point in the first part of 2007, I'm just hoping its not an extended, 3-4 month) refurb like last time. That is what I meant by my post. Yes they will be down at the same time, but hopefully not for months.

What is up with Francis Lady bug boogie??

It is my DS5 favorite ride.

Were were there on 10/15 and could hear it running..

Also why so long on the Orange stinger.. They are just swings......

I believe Francis Lady Bug boogie is gettin rebuilt. I think! Probably just testing the tracks, now its the Imagineer's part

Orange Stinger is one of the most dangerous rides in the whole park... Its the only ride that the restrains arnt locked with a machine... i used to operate that ride at Knotts. Its also to test each seat to make sure it can hold the maximum weight and such... or maybe they are replaceing each seat. there are round 48 seats i believe.

I agree with you - those swings are evil - I nearly fell out of one when I was a kid at the fair - I had to hold on and my mom was screaming to stop the ride - hate those things - pure evil!!!

YIPPPEEEE!!!!! Nothing new to worry about at this point (well Mr Toad, but it goes down on our third day, so we can hit it early in our trip.)

With Pirates having its 40th anniversary in March, I hope they keep it open until then. I know there is a Disney Gallery event on March 18 for the anniversary.

Francis Lady Bug Boogie

Has already re-opened.

Not sure why Disney went from a '07 re-opening to an extended '08 re-opening on it's refurb list above... especially since the attraction has re-opened fairly recently. There is a pic taken recently of the Lady Bug Boogie with Guests riding it in the latest Westcoaster update.

Oh I hope that Mr.Toads Wild Ride will be open for the 1st week of April, they don't have it in FLA and I have never riden it.
