DCA crowds during CP

We will be arriving at DLR, probably late afternoon, on Sunday Dec. 5th. That is one of the Candlelight Processional days. How do you think the DCA crowds will be then? I don't want to deal with the DL crowds, but it only costs $26 extra to buy 5 day park hoppers rather than 4 day park hoppers, so I'm thinking it's worth buying tickets for that day.

I was there last year for one of them. It was far and away the busiest I have ever seen the parks. There were so many people all over, but all in all, DCA wasn't THAT bad. It was busy, yes, but I thought it was still very manageable over at DCA.

Plus I would guess that during the actually CP, DCA will clear out. But thats just my speculation.

Great question - how quickly did the crowds die off? Especially considering that would have also been cast member party days.

Remember, CP just increases the crowds at the *front* of Disneyland. As long as you're back away from it all, you don't have big huge crowds (in my experience). DCA wasn't bad, either, b/c everyone else is massing in the front of DL.

We were there the Monday after CP last year and it rained all day, so crowds were light. There were a few more people on Tuesday, but overall, much lighter crowds on CM party days than the CP. It is a pretty nice week to visit.

Sorry but was not there the Monday after.

The other poster stated that the park is only busy in the front. I wouldn't really agree with that. I would say that the park was almost un-navigable in the front. The whole place I felt was very busy. I believe I heard those Saturdays are among the busiest days of the year, but I don't know how accurate that is.
