Maybe there is a thread addressing this but I didn't find it...:confused3

I was wondering what is happening with the DCA $1.8 billion construction/refurbishment?
Is the place a mess? Lots of temporary wall?
What has changed?

Should we wait until it's done before making the investment of a trip down this spring or summer?

Anyone have pictures?

Thanks!!

The only pics I have are from mid dec and it wasn't a mess. They aren't redoing it all at one time, it will be done in phases. There were not any walls up yet, that I remember except the sun wheel. Which was being painted red. The lake was drained which is no big deal. I plan on making several trips down during construction as it probably wont be a huge inconvenience. Of course walls up dont bother me, it just gets me excited for what is to come! :) I am sure someone who has been recently will have more info and pics soon!

We just got back. micechat is loaded with pictures and info. All I noticed last week was the draining of the Pier area, construction walls along the midway past Toy Story Mania and the renovation of the Sun Wheel. Everything else was humming along nicely. Have fun and don't forget to check out Blue Sky Cellar.

I dont have pictures but i was there on Monday.

Paradise Pier emptied. Now has people in there working with a lot of random holes everywhere.

The Amphitheater is blocked off with walls extending from Golden Zepher all the way to the paradise pier bridge that leads on to paradise pier.

Mickey Wheel/Sun Wheel is about 1/3 painted.

Construction on the carnival game are still at the works.

Thats about it.
