DCA Connection time

We aren't flying until June but I noticed that American changed my flights giving us a 41 minutes layover at DCA. Is that enough time for us to get from plane A to plane B? If it matters, we'd be coming in from PWM (a small plane) and going to MCO (a big plane). There is a different flight we could switch to that would give us about 2.5 hours for a layover instead.

41 minutes is a very tight window especially since boarding typically begins about 30 minutes prior to most flight departure times, this gives you only about a 15 minute window to deplane, use the restroom, and quickly walk to your next gate, and this is all assuming that your incoming flight is on-time with no delays whatsoever.. If possible, IMHO, I would recommend changing to the later connecting flight.. This would give you some breathing room and there are lots of dining/shopping options at DCA especially now that the national hall area has become a post-security area..

Agree with Mr. Knight. Sometimes the small planes put you on a bus to get to the terminal which eats up even more time.

Thanks. After thinking about it, I'm going to call to try to switch to a later second flight. The more and more that I thought about it, I realized I wouldn't have time to get a bite to eat in between flights and that's pretty important to us
