Hello everyone!

When my Nan and myself were at D.C.A in April, there was obviously no Carsland. When I arrived at DCA for rope drop, I could get Fastpasses for W.O.C and Soarin' and meander around the shops but that was about it, I also waited at rope drop for T.O.T. Can someone explain to me how it works now? Is there early entry for DCA? If so im hoping to get to the park at rope drop, run to get fastpasses for RSR and possibly ride if there is no wait. Then ride Luigi's and Maters. Is Carsland the only land open for early entry to actually ride? After exploring carsland could we then return to Hollywood backlot and wait for rope drop to ride T.O.T. We want to try and bet picked to test ride T.O.T...haha! Or are there no longer rope drops at Hollywood Backlot and Paradie Pier? Does this even make sence :confused3

Couple of important questions:

1. When will you be visiting?
2. How many days will you be visiting?
3. Where will you be staying?

The answers to those 3 questions determine what kind of "Early Admission" you are entitled to. You can see for yourself in the "Early Admission" Superthread (which should answer most of your questions): http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1675403

Yes Early Entry for DCA but depends upon if you are staying on DLR property or if you have an Annual Pass. If you are not staying on property and just have hoppers then it's only the 1 day at Disneyland on the scheduled day. If you have AP but are still not staying on property you must register on DL website for Annual Pass Holder Early Entry on certain days available from NOW until 9/13/12. STAYING ON PROPERTY you have a CHOICE of which park to enter @ the 7am early entry hour from NOW until 9/29/12.
Yes I believe rope drop for opening parks are still available starting opening time of 8am but I'll let someone else speak on this since we don't do it too often. Hope this helps a little. :confused3

forgot to add if staying on property REGARDLESS what type of ticket you purchase you still have a choice of what park to enter early @ 7am from NOW until 9/29/12.

We will be visiting next year in September/October for Halloween. There will be two of us, myself (will be 19) and my cousin (will be 22). Im pushing for 6 or 7 days at Disney. We are hoping to get to the parks early to do as much as possible while it's quieter, then relax in the afternoon and return to touring in the late afternoon/evening when the park thins out a little again. We will be staying at the Paradise Pier if I can convince my friend to come with us, otherwise we will be staying at the Tropicanna or the Carousel Inn

No one knows what the Early Entry policy will be in 2013. No one knows what it will be even this October - only up through September.

Odds are that if you stay at the PPH you will have EE every day - with alternating days at DL and DCA. If you stay offsite it is not clear whether Disney will keep the old Magic Morning format which would allow a single EE to DL for 3+ day tickets.

Thanks guys! Very helpful information! Hopefully they keep the onsite EMH, that would be so handy and a definate reason to stay on property. I really want to stay on property at least once in my life and am wondering if I should just save a little more each week so we can do it this trip.
