Hello
Heading to DLR next week. We were there last August and we really enjoyed Carsland at night, watching the neon come on and riding RSR in the dark. I just noticed DCA closes at 8pm and sunset is at 7:40ish that really seems to limit nightime fun doesn't it?

I'd say so. The best part of Carsland is in the dark. In the daytime I thought it was Meh. Nighttime I thought it was brilliant.

Well in August the sun sets at 7:51pm in the beginning of the month and gets earlier from there with 7:18pm on the last day in August so unless you went the very end of August you're looking at a very similar sunset time to what it will be next week so there should not be much of a difference.

*ETA* Oh I think I see what you're saying though. DCA closed later in August than 8pm?

Hmmmmmm.... I am going to DCA in a few weeks and have reservations for a WOC dining package. I didn't realize that WOC starts at 9:00 but the park closes at 9:00? How does that work?

That is normal and how most parks that have a nighttime show operate.

DCA should be open later than 8pm Fri-Sun. Also, if you get in line for a ride in CL right before 8pm you'll be able to stay until you ride and then it should be dark when you're walking out. With some planning you can increase your evening time there.

Yes ☺ In August we had a few hours post sunset to enjoy Carsland. All the neon is quite fun after dark. It's like walking through the movie.
