I am pretty frugal and not overly rich. I would love to do the dolphin swim for the family, but that is just SOOo much $$

Is it worth it to do the rest of the park and skip the dolphin swim? Or should I just save the $ and go to Typhoon Lagoon for a beachy experience?

Can you even do that? When I was trying to do on line ressies(just to check the price), there was no way to put a zero in the dolphin swim selection.

I'm not sure this is your question, but you do need to have one member of your group to take the dolphin swim.

While the DC looks expensive on the outset, if you make full use of the time it affords you at SeaWorld it is possible to financially justify the expense, but it is, to a degree at the expense of "Disney time".

DC itself is most definately an "all day" experience even if you don't personally take part int he swim, it's a lot of fun to watch your friends/children take part. Using the SW tickets for 3,4 or 5 "half days" instead of visiting other parks can save a huge amount of money, in effect the cost is not more than if you spent one day at TL and 3 or 4 at Disney parks. It's a question of priorities, if you want to try DC and don't mind giving up a couple of Disney or Universal days up, financially, it isn't much different. With them now offering BG as an option as well as SW you can get a lot of enjoyment and entertainment from this program.
