How can I get from Union Station in DC to Ashburn, VA? Please help me!!!

You need to try to find a "car service" or limo service to take you. You cannot get all the way out there on the Metro.

Von, car service or limo will cost an arm and a leg. Can you rent a car? Ashburn is about 35 - 40 miles from the train station. If you can get a ride from the Tyson's Metro station, it will make the trip shorter. Tysons is right on Route 7 which is a straight, albeit very congested, shot to Ashburn. You could take the metro from union station to there. MAybe you could get Enterprise Rentacar to pick you up at the metro in Tysosns and then you could go from there. Then return the car to the Enterprise office and have them take you back to the Metro station.

jmho, but i would not personally rent a car if i were you. unless you feel comfortable driving in an area you don't know where people drive like lunatics. :p i always tend to get lost when i drive in VA. ;)

if you took the metro as far as you could go and then had a car service/shuttle come pick you up i think that would be your best bet.

I just checked on-line for some prices. www.crystal-limousine.com quotes $70.00 from Union Station to Ashburn. Another company estimated $55.00. You might want to give SuperShuttle a call. They might be a bit cheaper. As others have said, you can also hop on the Metro out to Vienna (the last stop) and try to catch a cab in from there. Not sure if any of the shuttle services pick up at the Metro stops.

As for driving, that direction you go in can be pretty nasty traffic wise--when are you coming in?
