DC question- times of Dolphin interactions?

Hi everyone. I am planning a trip to DC this June as suprise anniversary gift for my Dh (it will be on the day of our anni) anyways we will be in wdw with a bunch of family and are planning to have dinner later that night- around 6:30-7pm. Because of this I was hoping to get to DC early and leave around 3pm. Will my dolphin interaction time be after that? Can I request an earlier time? How does it work. TIA!!!

I was told it goes by when you check in....they open at 8, so we were just planning on getting there early.

Do you think having a town car pick us up at 7:30 from AKL would be ok?

im an early bird so Im getting to the gates of DC at 7:20am.. my hotel is 5 minutes away..lol and im a punctual person, so the earlier the better. I want to be able to pick my Dolphin swim time. so the Earlier the better

We stayed at the Renaissance (less that 5 min ride, which the Renaissance valet provides, we rode in an Escalade) and arrived at about 8:15 AM. We got a swim time of 9:20 AM.

I when I booked the "special occasion package" with Discovery Cove last night I asked them if you can pick the time for your dolphin swim and was told that you can't . It's first come first served. So get there early if you want a morning swim. They start check in at 8:00 am. . When you book your trip to Discovery Cove you can request a time but there no guarantees you will get the time you want . Also if you are doing a "Special Occasion Package" , they only do ONE per dolphin swim so book early for this and you can request a time but again there's NO GUARANTEES.
Also regarding the "SPECIAL OCCASIONS PACKAGES", you can have almost any kind of occasion. I am doing a standard birthday package without the birthday LOL . I am having the dolphin bring my dd(8) Tiffany a buoy that say "Dolphins are Angels in disguise" and "Love Always Stevie" "April 22, 2009. Tiffany's big brother Steven (23) passed away almost 2 years ago and I thought it would be nice to surprise her with this from her brother Steven and keep his memory alive.

Tiffany's big brother Steven (23) passed away almost 2 years ago and I thought it would be nice to surprise her with this from her brother Steven and keep his memory alive.
