DC Question - Can I renew??! help!

Hi -- I am a moron, and made a moronic mistake, I'm afraid. When I booked my FTP, I booked it as a DC member. I WAS a DC member (that happened to expire in March, I found out). I tried to go to their website, but have realized they are now defunct. Is there a way to renew thru the end of this trip (which is Nov 8-15) or must I suck it up and pay them the difference when I try to check in at ASMu and they realize I am not a member. This was a stupid, yet honest, mistake. Any ideas on what I should do?! Thank you for any advice.

You can try calling them but I think you are outta luck.... sorry!!!! I believe the renewals ended back in June. Hey... it never hurts to ask!!!

You can still renew. I just did a couple of weeks ago for $7 to get the Brother Bear free preview.

I renewed just a couple of weeks ago to get me through the end of the year. Mine expired this month, and they charged me $4.99 to get me through December, no problem. They even sent me a new kit and card.

Don't know if that works with an expired card, however. But they might just prorate it from March - December, which would probably be worth the cost to get your discount.

It works for an expired card too. Mine was expired which accounts for the difference in what I paid.

Thank you for all who replied ~ I appreciate it. Got thru to DC and they stopped accepting renewals on Sept 26th. Looks as if I'll have to pay the difference. I am so sad. Oh well. Thanks again.

MollyBelle - If you have already paid in full for the trip (which I believe is required for the FTP), then you shouldn't have a problem.....No one asked to see my card at check-in. Good luck!

Bring the card with you---If you booked when the card was activated ---just show them. As there will no longer be a DC club after the end of this year and if they quit taking renewals after sept----( prorated). I would think they would honor the package since you are willing to renew---they just are not renewing anyones. Have a fun trip!!!!!!

I checked in with a DC reservation last week at CBR, they never asked for the card.

i have used my DC and AAA cards for the discount, for a long time, and it dawned on me, i was never asked once to see my cards, hmmm

i would just bring the card, the cm may not ask and if she does, show the card and she may not notice that its expired

i think the dc card should count for the discount when you purchase the package, because you were still a member when you purchased
