Hey guys.. More advice please... :)

Anyways we are driving to WDW for or trip.. After we leave we have 5 days till we have to be back at work.. Leaving the 4th have to be at work on the 10th..

I would like to stop at DC or swing by NYC, we live in central NY.. If we do DC i wanted to go to a few of the museums, maybe see the monuments..

If we go to NYC I'm not sure what site to see but i thought about catching a show either on or off Broadway..

so which do you think??? suggestions??

I love DC, but I've never been to NYC :sad2:

Never been to DC, but we go to NYC a few times a year. Granted, the past 5 years its been more for kids things (World of Disney, which is now closed, American Girl, NBA Store, Toys R Us in Times Square).
But when I was younger I used to go see plays all the time, my favorite is Phantom of the Opera
You could also do Top of the Rock http://www.topoftherocknyc.com/welcome/default.aspx never did it myself but my sis has.
I ate at ESPN years ago and it was actually pretty cool, food was pretty good too.
They also have madame tussauds wax museum, didn't go to that one, but went to the one in England, its pretty cool. http://www.madametussauds.com/NewYork/
And there's always Central Park, The Met, Museum of Natural History, all fun :)
GL in whatever you decide.

I love DC and NYC is good for about two days, and then I need out!!

DC has the plus of a lot is free, thanks to our taxes, and the sheer amount in a short distance makes it so easy to see.

I haven't been to either, so can't really say. So I would say go to whichever you think you wouldn't go to on its own. Which ever is less convenient. I'm sure you'll enjoy either.

DC is great, but there's SO much to do I always feel like if I don't spend a full week, I'm not going to get anything accomplished. NYC, I can fly in on a Friday, spend a few days shopping, drinking with friends, see a show or two and fly out Monday. In and out.

I'm all for NYC, but then again I'm quite partial to the city.

To be honest we will only have like 2-3 days extra... I was leaning towards DC because I would love to go to the museums again, i was there back in 1986.. UGGG im getting old.. LOL..

But at the same time i would love to NYC and catch a show ESP Phantom again.. I saw it in Toronto and LOVED IT.. i would love to see it on the stage again.. There is also Naked Boys Sing.. :rotfl: Hence the problem..

I asked the other half and his answer was, whatever.. LOL.. MEN..

Act-U-ally, the other half, being me, isn't that big on "Broadway". Seeing shows really doesn't bring a spark of interest to me. Might make me seem lame or boring but I'd much rather be out and about seeing things or doing things. Why pay money to sit in a building watching others sing and dance for a few hours when you can be out living life and having fun doing something much more exciting. I get that it's the experience behind it, but I can feel the same experience sitting in a theater watching a regular big screen movie. Eh...guess I'm just not the New York, Broadway, kind of guy.

He's right, I was kinda like, "whatever". What he doesn't seem to get, is that I don't care what we do together. As long as it's fun for us both, and exciting and we're doing it "together", that's all that really matters. The fact that we're doing it, "together", is what's going to make it most special.

Have to say it would be no contest for us, NYC wins hands down. :) Nothing wrong with DC at all, but NY is THE city, ya' know? :teeth:
