DC/Ocala Ressies Question

I've read about the Ocala Visitors Center on this site and seen Resort rooms can run up to 50% off during the slower times.

The Question:

If I book a DC code and a good deal is available on our way through Ocala, can the deposits/payments be transfered to the Ocala deal?

I'm contemplating on whether or not to book DC or see whats available on the way down.

We had an AP rate booked at AKL last year & stopped at Ocala. We were able to get a deal at the Poly. Our deposits were transferred & everything went smoothly. I think you can only do this if you are "upgrading" your room. I assume it would probably work the same for DC. Good Luck!
