DC food?

In July '04, you went to the restaurant and went through the cafeteria type line. You could pick out whatever food you wanted. You got everything all at once. Not sure if you could go back or not or how they regulated it as we were with the Trainer For A Day group and we didn't have time to roam around.

Cheers!

They now offer a continental breakfast, along with lunch. They also provide snacks and beverages all day. When we were there last June, we got OJ for breakfast, but had a nice lunch with a beer. We did not have any snacks during the day. Not sure if the beverages offered all day will include the alcohol type. Have fun! We did!

Why does the Discovery Cove menu have prices when the lunch is included with the cost of the entrance package?

Maybe it is an older menu?? I was told that ALL snacks and ALL beverages were covered throughout the day.

You have always been allowed one meal per day, included in the price of admission. If you desire additional food, those are the prices you pay.

"Beer and wine available for an additional charge" refers to beverages that are not included in the package you paid for.

I just got off the phone with Discovery Cove and there is * NO * charge for any of the food or beverages. *including the beer. I was very surprised to hear this.
The lady told me we could go back as many times as we wanted for any of the
food or snacks or drinks.. when we went a few years ago,, u got one chance
to get the Lunch and that was it , ,then you had to pay ,, but they have
changed that now to eating and drinking all day if you want.

I can't imagine eating and drinking all day though,, We will be in the water
about 99 percent of our day ,,,,,,LOL

I would imagine they figure this when they offer unlimited food and beverages. When you are paying that kind of money, the last thing you want is to have to sit out the experience because you ate or drank too much. Nor would you want to drink so much that you didn't remember it!! I don't drink beer so unlimited beer isn't exciting to me.

I'm hoping to schedule my dolphin swim for before lunch so that I can enjoy lunch without worrying about something making me sick and ruining my dolphin experience. Years ago, I got so sick from lunch that I couldn't complete my afternoon dive for my SCUBA certification. Why they would feed divers spicy sloppy joes is beyond me!! I had to spend more money to rent equipment and travel to finish my certification!!

I believe the registration information said it was first-come first-serve in the morning starting at 8. They have enough times for everyone obviously but the first one there gets their choice, I guess. That was part of the reason I switched my day because I was originally scheduled to go the day after my (late night) flight arrived. Now I can sleep in if I want before I go to Sea World and not worry about being too tired to enjoy my day.

First: Congratulations on your weight loss! You must feel sooo good!!!!
Second: So, I can get to Discovery Cove at 8:00AM????
TIA!

Yes ,, You can get there at *8am* ,, when I was on the phone with Discovery Cove
a few days ago , they told me they open the doors at 8am ,,,,,, so enjoy ,, we are not doing the dolpin swim this trip ,, but have in the past,, if you want the early morning swims,, its best to get there this early,,

My concern is that they open at 8:00 AM, but if you take the shuttle from the RPH the earliest one arrives around 10:00AM. This is what I heard, I don't know if it's true or not but if that's the case, I guess I'll spend the $30 to take a taxi. :confused3
I think I'm going to post this question somewhere else too!
Thanks!
