DC Final Payment problem....PLEASE SEND PIXIE DUST...AS MUCH AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN

After reading another post regarding "final payment" a little earlier this afternoon.....I got concerned that I had not received any "confirmation" information regarding the final payment that I sent on 10/18.
I was previously not overly concerned as I have read numerous posts that "confirmations" are not routinely sent out?????????

When I made our original reservations (March)...we were to stay at the CBR and the WL from 12/7 thru 12/15.....THEN...the new codes came out in July....(new reservation numbers.....same hotels).....
We all know what happened there....SO...reservations were changed to AKL and WL...(new reservation numbers).....Deposits had been made in March and were transferred accordingly due to the new code...CBR closure, etc. (I have kept track of all reservation numbers BOTH OLD AND NEW)

Since August/September (when the closure of the CBR was announced.....we have...(OR HAD).... reservations for the AKL and the WL for the same period of time.....

**I must add that I called DC on a couple of occassions to insure that the deposits were correctly reapplied...that I had the most current reservation numbers, etc.......

Keeping in mind the "45 day window" to pay all reservations in full....I contacted DC and informed them of the date that I would be forwarding FINAL PAYMENT and again confirming the final payment amounts...(there was a discrepancy of 7 cents on the AKL amount...but so what.....it was 7 cents)..........

I also confirmed the address to which the final payment should be sent...(as none of my subsequent reservation letters included this....nor did subsequent reservation letters include the usual payment envelope)......

The DC representative...(I am so kicking myself for not getting her name)....confirmed that the correct address for submitting payment was: "The Disney Club"

SO.....off went my payment with....Money Order with appropriate reservation numbers.....she was SO CAREFUL to tell me this......like I wouldn't have known.............................

So grateful for the previous post today.....called to make sure everything was okay......NO FINAL PAYMENT RECEIVED.....

PREVIOUS ADDRESS....NO LONGER VALID....NEEDED TO SEND TO A DIFFERENT ADDRESS......"Several people have made this MISTAKE and the parcel was returned to them".....wasn't returned to me....

After being on hold for quite awhile....a "supervisor" spoke with me and informed me that I was to call back on Tuesday....and ask to speak with DEPOSIT OPERATIONS....to "see if they could 'recover' my payment"

So sorry for this being long.........I have planned, scrimped, saved...rolled nickles...pennies...dimes....frequented this board to find budget saving tips.....eaten more damn macaroni and margarine for lunch and dinner than I care to think about......and now....27 DAYS FROM DEPARTURE?????????

So sorry to ramble on....this trip is so very important for reasons too numerous (and personal) to talk about......

Just wish the DC representative had told me that on October 18...when I forwarded my final $640 and some odd cent payment......

My fingers are crossed for you. Do you have the copy reciept from the MO. This has tracking numbers on it that can be used to figure out if/when and by who the MO was processed by. I hope everything works out for you.

Oh Jinny I'm so sorry for all these problems you are having, I was the one who started the thread about final payment, I'm happy to say mine was ok paid in full, they checked and said oh yes we received your rather large check and it did clear the bank (he sounded very surpised that a personal check that large had cleared) and you are all set. The documents that I received from Disney Travel do indeed mean that the reservation is paid in full. I really hope you can get this all straightened out with them without losing to much sleep.
 
We have one night paid for at POR (12/23) We then move to YC on 12/24 (deposit of 349.00 already charged) This res is through DC. Do I have to make a final payment before I get there, or do I pay on my CC after I arrive? Please advise!
 

Thanks for the PD.....Money order receipts are on my lap as as I type...tried to give the numbers to DC...said that "woundn't help".................will definitely be at the PO Tuesday to see what I can do.................
 
Tuesday is going to seem a long way off for you ! {{{HUGS}}} Better you found out now than when you get there, things will work out.....they always seem to. It is just so frusterating i know!! Hang in there and let us know how it goes on Tues.

DC requirements (my understanding) is that Final Payment is due 45 days prior to check in............that's what I did....just make sure you send your final payment to the correct address:

Jinnyboom sending lots of Pixie Dust your way let us know on Tuesday how you make out with this. I know this sound stupid but on my confirmation it gave me a mailing address for my payment I haven't pulled it out to see what it is for the Disney Club and oh my god it is the wrong address thank god I used the orange envelope provided.
 
If you still have your money order reciepts I'm sure everything will be fine. Offer to fax them copies of the money order to prove you sent it! ;) They are going to HAVE to honor your reservation or give you something even BETTER if AKL and WL aren't available! :) You let us know if they give you any trouble and we'll flood them with calls and letters!!! :)

GOOD LUCK!!! And don't let them bully you, this is your vacation and YOU are in charge. :) I had to get down right mean with a couple of CM's at CRO earlier this year and things got taken care of. :)

We just recently changed our CRO reservation over to DC and I received a confirmation in the mail last week. At the bottom of the page it states,

Please note our new mailing address. To expedite your payment, please remit to: The Disney Cub

Thank you for booking with the Disney Club.

They even enclosed and envelope with the same address!!

Hindsight I know, but I occasionally get money orders for pin buying. I always get the m.o.'s at my bank. First, they are free.
Second, they are very easy to track. (800# to call to find out if it has been cashed.)
I know others who get their money orders through USPS. And to do a tracer is a pain. You have to file a claim, wait so many days, etc. By the time you find out almost two months has gone by.
